Lots of young men with guns, it’s a military run checkpoint so I suppose that makes sense. They checked my passport, looked through the back of my car, then asked for a cold drink. It took maybe 5 minutes, but they were not particularly friendly. The main guy spoke English, that was helpful.

Lots of construction on the new bridge right now too! So lots of trucks and activity everywhere.

There are few parking lot in front of the Lake Mead sign. We slept here, it's not in the National Recreation Area but just before, so nobody disturbed us. Very calm place.

Met expectations. Road hard packed so easy to drive, with some spring pot holes. Has been dry, so there was no water on the road.

the place is amazing even now that the lake is almost empty (it usually happens at the end of dry season) the road to arrive is not bad at all, you have to follow the arrows you'll see from the main street 7w. Different places for parking with different prices. I'm paying 5q night 5 day. for the site price is 25q entrance and camping, so with all I've pay 35q per day.
2 stores in the village but only snacks (not fruits or vegetables)
You can camp in different areas, but near by the lake it's a huge palapa that it's perfect.

Just checking in to say that this place still exists and still is everything others said about it. Recommended stop.

Abandoned motel, gas, and service station. There is a large level spot back near the tank holders (these are concrete half-circles; no tanks). Quiet. A fair amount of traffic on US-6/US-95 but back away from the road it's not bothersome at all. Cell service (Verizon) is acceptable here.

beautiful scenery but do not attempt if there has been a lot of rain. There were several RV's stuck in the mud and needed towing.

Sandy campsite just S of the ford across the Dirty Devil River. The lower section of Poison Spring Canyon does not have a huge number of sites, but this one is decent. You can camp right on what seems like a road because farther along it is washed out. The DDR is very silty so not really great as a water source. No cell service.

We totally agree with the other comments. Alejandro and Vivian are so friendly and passionated about cacao. They made the tour really fun and personal. Highly recommended!

Clean laundromat with wifi. Top load (regular) washers are 4 USD (did not use the bigger ones, but they are here). Dryers are .25 USD for 7m. There is a TV, folding tables and change machines. The soap machine says see attendant, but there isn't one. There is no restroom. There is a dollar general market and pizza place next door as well.

On the west bound side of this. Just a little trashy dirt lot.

The gate to dispersed camping was closed. Two other cars and I stayed in the big parking area before the gate overnight. Very quiet and didn’t have any problems

Was there. Camp was empty, care taker had no clue about the price. Found it not really nice and head to Muchenje 300m down the road, which is lovely!

E xcellent place, park for children, dog park and hiking trail. No overnight parking restrictions

We got stopped today. Asked for driver's license & insurance, gave him copies of both. He got annoyed, wanted to see the original driver's license, we showed it but didn't give it to him. With Google translate he told us in Nicaragua only the originals count, no copies but then reluctantly let us go. Cost us maybe 10 minutes total.

Wonderful camp. The kitchen a refuge on cold and rainy days we encountered. Large windows in the kitchen and enough warmth to making camping pleasant. staff wonderful. The track in from Touws River not difficult at all in a LC 79 normal clearance for that truck.

Flat grassy parking in the hotel. There is swimming pool. Little bite cold. But ok. Laundry is possible. Ok for big rig but it was limit for our camper. 7,6m long/3,15m high

Nice spot directly at the Oranjemund. Braai facility available an wrecked toilets you can’t use.

Great store, they have a little bit of everything. We exited the Hole-in-the-Rock Rd on a Sunday so everything was closed in Escalante but these folks were open! We able to get some nice local meats and even some chain oil for my chainsaw. One of the friendliest spots in Southern Utah.

We stay for 1 night on day 1 of road trip to the USA , no problem reporting. I would stay again for a future trip.

This forest road is open and has a few nice sites with awesome views :)

Just needed a place for the night to sleep. Got here just after 9pm and there was one other vehicle (camper van). Heard a semi roll in at 10pm but otherwise no other rigs. When the train blows its horn it's very loud. Very easy on and off the highway.

Beautiful spot right off of Hwy 41. Easy hike down to see a series of falls. There are toilets and potable water.
