had a problem with my starter. He helped me on a Sunday with his father and solved the problem for really fair price.

Great overnight just 30 minutes from Scotts Bluff National Monument. Only 1 camper there when I arrived. Water & electric still working. No service with TMobile.

The camping ground is still under construction, but you can already get all your travelling / overlanding needs.
The view is AMAZING and the host, Andy, knows all the ins and outs of Quito. He really made our time there unforgettable. Plus, as he's been around much of South America, was able to share to valuable tips with us.
Highly recommend

Great spot to stay while in Bahia de LA. Did not have to pay. Popular spot for camping but never too crowded. Pebbly beach. Incredibly clear water. One downside is the ‘toilets’ are out of commission, don’t even attempt. Because we didn’t bring our own, and there were lots of folks on the beach, we had to take a short hike into the hills to go to the bathroom. Do-able, but not ideal. The second night we camped on the eastern side and had a quite beach to ourselves. Water is still and beautiful. Bring your snorkeling gear! Did get attacked by some horse flies in case you want to bring fly tape.

Next to the last marker known as “beside cerritos inn” quiet spot before the sign that says no cars. We’ve spent two nights here without issue and came back for another couple of nights.
One small trailer parked next to us! Zofemat came by in the morning to check for trash and wrong-doings but didn’t bother us. You aren’t camping at the beach but some meters from it.
If you do come by please pick up after yourself, any toilet paper or human waste left here will spoil this spot for all of us like most of cerritos. Bring a shovel and a trash bag.
There’s enough spot for a couple of big rigs and you don’t need 4wd to get here.
Please take care of the beach and the spot.

We slept in the public parking lot on the beachfront, even opened our roof tent. It was a very quiet night, even though it was a Saturday.

Price as changed to 70/80 BOL per person, depending on the room. Maybe it is possible to negotiate 100 BOL for 2 people.
The rooms are okay and some have shared bathrooms. The shower seems to be nice and hot, heated by gas. The lady would have allowed me to use the kitchen. I did not stay there, because it was fully booked, which shows that it is very popular in a town with hardly any visitors!

Spent a sunday night in a 30ft RV, left monday around 9am. Lot still almost empty.
As mentioned many police cars parked here, felt safe.
Some noise from a REALLY loud parking deck gate throughout the night.

We payed 35$ for 24h at a parking machine.

Update: the place is crowded late into the night and very noisy from 3 bars. In the morning, the parking lot guy suddenly wanted $10 more. Unbelievable, we just drove with "no hablo espanol". So don't stay here!

it's a really nice place under palm trees. we arrived on sunday and during the day it got pretty crowded. many nice locals. The nights are very quiet. Swimming is dangerous because of the high waves, but it is possible. Cheap and good small restaurants suburb. Our overnight stays were free. Vegetables and fruit come 2x a day with a pickup.

Heading south towards Manizales you will pass restaurant and small tienda on left hand side, you can get water and supplies from there. About two minutes away there’s a lay by and small track goes down to river, flat place here to camp , there’s a bench for cooking and noise of river blocks out the C25 a little bit! Good place to amp if you get stuck on the C25 after dark

Stopped here for a few days and stayed 2 weeks. Gated and quiet at night. 2 blocks to the beach at the north end of Loreto. Hot shower and flush toilet. Full hookups in very tight spaces, may have 3 feet on either side of the camper. Several long term RVs under palapas. Paid 5000 pesos for 15 nights. 5-10 minutes to Centro

Really nice spot on old dirt road between two body’s of water. Very close to highway so traffic noise is a constant. There are only two legitimate camp spots on this old Hwy cut off, (sign says camping in designated locations only,) marked by picnic table. It’s also clear people aren’t all that careful about what they leave behind. Speaking of behind, do you really need fifteen sheets of paper towel to wipe your behind? 🙄Do you need to leave it behind as a monument marking your creation?😡
Relatively windy day we were here. Multiple people drove through.

Lots of young men with guns, it’s a military run checkpoint so I suppose that makes sense. They checked my passport, looked through the back of my car, then asked for a cold drink. It took maybe 5 minutes, but they were not particularly friendly. The main guy spoke English, that was helpful.

Lots of construction on the new bridge right now too! So lots of trucks and activity everywhere.
