Andy is a legend! We had one of our best stay at coda vista! With great views of Quito and the necessary amenities, this place is great and has so much potential for the future. Lots of overlanders pass through this campsite, so you can alway meet new faces and old ones!

Me and my dog really enjoyed the stay for 6 days. Andy is very helpful and awesome, he’s a great host. He was super helpful providing an excellent Veterinarian, Clinical Veterinaria Terranova.
You can ask him about anything you need, laundry, bakery, roads to go…
The view over Quito is amazing and with a taxi to the city is short and cheap(~5$)
I can highly recommend

Lovely campground overlooking Quito.
Great view, lovely hot! shower and close to the historic center (10min. by taxi).
Andy is a great host he's still in the process of further developing the site.
He's super helpful and can give you loads of recommendations.
Highly recommend!

Report Check-In

Andy, the owner of the campsite is a super nice guy. The view over Quito is fantastic. We were there for 4 days and were able to leave our truck there for 12 days (Galapagos) for little money. ($3 a day) Andy takes you to the airport and picks you up again. He is very reliable. The place is highly recommended.

Report Check-In

Absolute recommendation for this place! The place has a stunning view over the city and on a clear day to 3 volcanoes. The place is quiet and safe, has reliable and fast wifi, electricity and the owner Andy is an awesome, fun person. We slept there for two days and left the van there while we flew to Galapagos. Andy drove us to the airport and picked us up again for 20$ per way, which was super convenient. The city center is a 10min uber/taxi drive away.

Report Check-In

We loved this place ,wonderful view and safe. Andy is a great host. Good location to explore Quito

Report Check-In

Simply amazing! The view is breathtaking and Andy is the best host there is. I’m so happy we went there. I think it’s better to whatsapp him before going just to check if there is space.

Report Check-In

Really special spot up on the top of
the hill in Quito. You can view all the great volcanos of Ecuador from here on a clear day. Andy the owner is one of those special people that makes you feel welcome and loved during your stay. His place is just starting but it’s already a super success with its very simple structure, it’s only going to get better. We stayed for 2 weeks or more. There is not much more to be said, just stay here, it’s worth it. We miss you Andy! 🖤

Report Check-In

Great place! Andy is extremely helpful and nice, best place to meet and chat with other overlanders and enjoy the view. An Uber to the city costs less than 5 US dollars. Also good and safe place to store your car while doing a Galapagos or Amazon trip.

Report Check-In

We stay around 12 days here with Andy and his two dogs. The Place and Andy are amazing, just enjoy the Place!

Report Check-In

We stayed at Andi’s place for a couple of days and then we let our truck at his property to fly to Galapagos. He also offered a perfekt airport service. The view here (when it’s not cloudy :-)) is amazing. With the Uber you are downtown just for a couple of dollar and in no time. Andy is working on that campground and we are sure it’s going to be one of the best sides around here…we enjoyed a lot!

Report Check-In

We more than agree with previous posts about this amazing campsite. Andy is a legend, the views are spectacular and the best there is in Quito. Just a small taxi ride to the historic city centre and we were able to park our van safely while we visited the Galapagos. Andy can even pick you up or drop you off at the airport. We cant recommend more! A true Overlander oasis.

Report Check-In

Can’t recommend this place enough. The views are top notch, the weather is cool, hardly any noise and the host (Andy) will make you want to stay a week. Camping on grass is one of our favourite ways to camp. Facilities are clean and thoughtful, very close to tiendas and the centre. Wifi is fast all around the property. Would absolutely come here again. 10$USD per person. 15$ USD for couples (currently)

Report Check-In

Wonderful place! Andy is such a warm person, you immediately feel at home. He knows his way around Quito and answers all your questions about spare parts, garages, places of interest, etc. Whatever you need, just ask Andy.
The view is incredible! Depending on the weather, you can see the surrounding volcanoes and of course you have a great view of the city.

Report Check-In

The best view we had on a city campsite in our whole SA trip! Andy is the best host who brought our laundry to the Lavanderia by bike(‘Moto Lavanderia’) and had all kinds of tips for us. Two shy and sweet, bit moody in the morning female dogs on site.
Bathroom with shower, toilet and sink is clean and functional.
Taxi to city easy to take from around the corner. Taxi back, better use Uber, we had all kinds of issues because they think its far and don’t want to go so far when heavy traffic. Be aware: very very steep hill to approach the top coming from highway. Best approach is from direction Cumbaya or ask Andy

Report Check-In

There is no „Andy“, just a weired lady who wants to charge for 2 people 20$ per night. This place has just a great view and a constant WiFi. Showers were cold also. Too expensive for what you get.

Report Check-In

Indeed lovely peaceful place with the sweetest host, Andy. For those people who mind: the toilet
a flush toilet and the bathroom is well organised and decorated with a lot of tender love and care. Gorgeous views! And fast wifi.

Report Check-In

Stayed here a few nights while visiting Quito. Amazing view of the city and mountains. Andy was super helpful providing local recommendations especially competent mechanics. Taxi into town about $5 and easy to flag down on the road. Still some construction but a secure place to camp on grass with a view what more could you need.

Report Check-In

Realy a great place here. So peaceful. We contacted Andy 2 hours before so he organized with his neighbour next door to let us in. Such a grat view. Afterwords we enjoyed our stay together with Andy. Enjoy it as well!

Report Check-In

Perfect place to stay while visiting Quito. Andy's place is at almost 3.000m with a nice view of Quito and the Cotopaxi volcano. Andy is the nicest person! We felt so welcome, he was helping out with everything he could (finding spare parts and oil) and was generally super relaxed. So if you are in need of anything, don't hesitate to ask him. He organizes motorbike tours also, and speaks English and Spanish. There a two friendly but a bit shy dogs, Mika and Fritz. Just give them some time to get familiar with you.

Andy helped us out with a lift to the airport and we let our van stay there during our visit to Galapagos.

The entrance gate is narrow, so getting in can be a bit nerve wrecking if you have a width of more than 2,40m. We are 2,50m wide and made it in fine. But Andy is working on this and will improve the gate as well as level the ground.

There is a toilet and shower to use. A taxi will take you to downtown in no time and low cost.

Report Check-In

This is a grat place to stay, visiting Quito. Go down by Taxi for 5$.
The location is great, with a direct view down to Quito. Andy is the heart of the whole place.
Very nice and helpful in all aspects.
Everything is still a little "work in progress" but it´s getting there where Andy wants to have it.

Thanks for these beautiful days.

We stayed two nights here to visit Quito. The views are amazing and Andy is a super host!

The camping is still under construction, but a toilet and hot shower are available.
An Uber to town costs around 5USD and took us approx. 20min.
Andy gave us lots of valuable information to explore Quito but also for our onward journey. He has two well behaved dogs and a cat. We really enjoyed the time here with such good company.

We paid 10USD per person per night. Recommended!

We spent one night at Andy’s lawn, very nice view and quiet night. Andy is very nice and welcoming, he let us use his welder to repair our tent and bumper for which we are very thankful.
There are no facilites, the bathroom is still under construction maybe it will be ready in the next weeks.
We paid $10 per person.

Report Check-In

The camping ground is still under construction, but you can already get all your travelling / overlanding needs.
The view is AMAZING and the host, Andy, knows all the ins and outs of Quito. He really made our time there unforgettable. Plus, as he's been around much of South America, was able to share to valuable tips with us.
Highly recommend

I really had a wonderful time at CoDa Vista. Andy and the Riofrio family are such lovely persons! The place itself is great, even if it is under construction. There are buses running to the city right in front of the door (to come back take the one to Buenos Aeres). The view from there is astonishing: you see all Quito and if you are lucky you can even see Cotopaxi. Thank you all again to make may stay unforgettable! Good luck Andy with your project!
