Parking lot of the UCSF in Mission. Big lot was half empty in day time. 35$ for 24 hours. No signs restricting overnight. Seems a very secure spot in the area because the university police department park their patrol car there. We left our van all day while visiting the city. Spent one night here without problem. In the morning, security told us to use the visitors parking slots located (on 15th street side). They won’t let you in to use bathroom unless you have a university pass. Bathrooms at grocery store FoodCo very close.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Sign now says by Permit Only. I think this means it's closed. No other vans inside.
Report Check-InPerfect place for us. Stayed 24h for 35$. There is 2 entrances during the day and they close one gate at night, the one open is in from of the police office. Felt really safe in the parking lot and maybe even considering the neighborhood, the adjacent roads felt pretty safe if we had to stay longer.
Report Check-InI pulled into this parking lot which was mostly empty except law enforcement cars and late working employees. The kiosk which issues parking permits states parking enforcement is in force all the time. Nothing about evenings or weekends being free. I called the police dispatcher who said regardless of the day of the week permits were required to be purchased. Additionally, all around the block on each street were multiple RVs camped long term. Didn’t feel comfortable so we left to Lafayette Park which didn’t have any room. We ended up at the rest stop on the north end of the Golden Gate Bridge.
Report Check-InSpent a sunday night in a 30ft RV, left monday around 9am. Lot still almost empty.
As mentioned many police cars parked here, felt safe.
Some noise from a REALLY loud parking deck gate throughout the night.
We payed 35$ for 24h at a parking machine.
Report Check-InI spent a Sunday night here for free no problems.
the parking lot has several police vehicles, so I'm sure its safe
Report Check-InYou have to pay M-F 7:30am - 6pm. $35 a night but it’s free on the weekends. I stayed Sat and Sun in a visitor parking spot without any problems.
