Really great camp spot, but it can get crowded. There are garbage cans and a pit toilet. Please throw away your garbage and keep this place clean. I also highly recommend a thermacell. Mosquitos can be absolutely brutal out here.

decent little spot just off I40. nice surprise of a shower and laundry facilities. $10 tent/dry camping and $25 full hook up. after a certain time think it's honor system as there are envelopes and a drop slot. can call the number by door for the code. we were only people for a while til someone pulled in around 9. the water isn't clear. wouldn't drink it. but good for filling portable toilet for later use. It got us off the road after a 10 hr day crossing Texas 👍🏻

good views and good ATT service. would be a nice spot to hang out for the day but Idk if I would recommend staying the night, there's a lot of cars passing by and nearly all of them stared at me like i was a zoo animal lol

Campgrounds pretty busy. We arrived here 7:30pm. Almost all the spots been taken. We have to drive far away to get a spot. As soon as we finish set up , sands blast started and rained. Didn’t take too long wind drying down.

Perfect spot. Quiet night. Back lot behind casino, near the road. Grateful for this. Really needed the sleep. One other van and a car slept here, too. No disturbances. Thank you IOverlander!

There is a paved path but half of it was snowed in, the temps do drop 10 degrees from the base of the mountain to here so plan accordingly. There is no cell service for T-Mobile. Occasional cars pass by but no one disturbed me at night. Be careful for deers driving up here.

Only $10 a night, very few other people. I was here for one night, outside of someone's generator running nonstop, it's quite peaceful. You might have to clean your site a bit, as there are beers and cigarette butts everywhere.

Nice Cracker Barrel. Called and asked permission to stay overnight in the lot in our camper van and was told it was allowed. Large level lot. Felt safe, even being so close to St. Louis. Quiet night away from road noise. Would absolutely stay again.

Stayed on the main square. The town doesn't seem to go to sleep! There was some preaching going on from the nearby stadium with a megaphone from 4am and then some people came and stood next to the van and had a very loud conversation from 5am for a couple of hours like it was the middle of the day.

Still a nice place. Unfortunately the road to the lodge is flooded. But they have safe parking nearby and they take you and hour luggage on a canoe and raft. The water is receding slowly. This is damage caused by the Cyclone. I couldn't camp because my motorbike was parked away and it was to much to carry everything. But camping spots are nice. I had a room for 15000 Kwacha. or 15 usd. Food is around 6,600 and breakfast 5000. Still a good friendly place. They have containers of drinking water in different places. You can fill your water bottle.

the drive in is quite long. the road is not the worst, but does have some water hazards and lots of typical back road dips.
nothing that my 2 wheel drive Soul couldnt handle, but i wouldnt recommend it for anyone with low clearance.
i passed 2 people on their way out, one hauling a boat. there was one truck there when i arrived with 2 young people just wandering around enjoying the slowly setting sun over the water.
the place itself is quite nice... the people who have left the garbage all over, not so much.
there is one porta potty which i wouldnt choose to use and one outhouse which also was less then desirable.
plenty of fire rings and picnic tables.
the ground isnt THAT level.

i visited here 2 summers ago, and there was one travel trailer quite set up and comfie looking.

as mentioned, there is LOTS of garbage especially the tree lines. this place needs a good cleanup. a couple of truck loads at least.

All in all, I would stay again but i would imagine it would be quite busy in the summer.
