We totally agree with the other comments. Alejandro and Vivian are so friendly and passionated about cacao. They made the tour really fun and personal. Highly recommended!

The place is really nice. We really enjoyed the cacao Tour. Alejandro and Vivian super friendly and helpfull. They speak english. Price of the Cacao Tour was 50k, we would it was worth the money. you develop the whole process from the cacao tree until producing your own chocolate Mass. don't Trust Google Maps, drive the ruta 60 until San Pablo der borbur. General Information about the ruta 60: from chiquinquira to Puerto boyaca it's 186km. the first 105km are almost completly paved and in good condition. then about 60km of rough gravel. the Last 20km it's gravel and pavement with lot of potholes. From Finca San Luis to Puerto Boyaca it will take 6 - 7h with a normal campervan. Other vehicles should be faster....

We arrived by bicycle on a two-week trip from Barichara to Medellin. At Finca San Luis, we stayed two nights in a large and comfortable tent (30,000 each per night) with warm showers and even a lovely hot bath the first night (we arrived tired and dirty from the day’s ride). The setting is stunning and the views of Fura Y Tena spectacular. We throughly enjoyed our time at the finca, including the meals (10,000 desayuno, 15,000 almuerzo y cena) that were nutritious and delicious. The cacao tour (30,000) was interesting and well done. We didn’t participate on the emerald mine visit but heard from other guests that it was fantastic. There is no wifi but the signal for Tigo was sufficient. Alejandro - who speaks better English than I do - and Vivian were gracious hosts. Their two dogs and guacamayos are friendly!

What a wonderful place. The scenery is amazing. One of the most beautiful in Colombia. The cacao tour (in English and/or Spanish) is excellent as well. The owners Vivian and Alejandro are very passionate and really make the best out of it. The tour takes half a day. It’s very interactive and hands on with, of course, the tasting at the end. Yummie!
