Big parking area at old Coaldale site. Lots of trucks park here but you can drive a bit south of the old ghost town and park farther away from the highway and trucks. Nothing really here but there is cell service, it works…..
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Exactly as others have said. Lots of parking and quiet if you go back where old semi circle tank supports are. Very good cell signal as well.
Report Check-InAbandoned motel, gas, and service station. There is a large level spot back near the tank holders (these are concrete half-circles; no tanks). Quiet. A fair amount of traffic on US-6/US-95 but back away from the road it's not bothersome at all. Cell service (Verizon) is acceptable here.
Report Check-InAs described. Big rig parking and turnaround if you head towards the far back side (follow the dirt road.) Full gFi, Verizon??? (Cell site within view.) Watch the doggies running around ....lots of broken glass.
Report Check-InGreat place to stay, lots of room for big rigs. mostly level although you might have to search for a real level spot. lots of debris around so be careful about driving over with nails. but easy to avoid. I was the only one there for the night. managed to park far enough away from the highway that I never heard it at night.
