Very nice inn on the shores of Lake Togo. Very good restaurant and very affordable prices. We spent the day here and ate lunch, we asked to sleep at night in the parking lot. For long vehicles provide wedges.

Très jolie auberge au bord du lac Togo. Restaurant très bon et prix très abordables. Nous avons passé la journée ici et avons mangé le midi, nous avons demandé pour dormir le soir sur le parking. Pour les longs véhicules prévoir des cales.

A great place to stay for the night (place next to Inka Wasi hotel). We welcomed by the owner with open arms (motorcyclist). For two persons including dinner en breakfast 59000 peso. The guy gave in the evening a tour through town en helped us fixing petrol (mini marked approx. 3 houses next to hotel). We payed 2800 peso per liter. The bikes were parked behind closed gates.

A lovely little parking lot for Park and Ride, the signs say that you can park here for 72 hours. It’s a bit confusing though, there are also church parking signs that say no overnight parking, or commuter parking only Monday-Friday. I asked some folks leaving if you could park overnight here and they said that people do and they didn’t think I would be bothered. I was not! Super quiet night within the lot, however it is along a main road so cars go by around 45 mph; dies down at night. There’s also a threaded water spigot here with DELICIOUS water. 3 bars Verizon LTE. It’s also a beautiful lot; lots of trees, and you can walk in the church labyrinth too. Felt really safe as a solo female. Would definitely stay here again. I’d keep it on the down low though, probably no RVs, since I’m not 100% sure if the church allows this.

Wauw! What a spot! Beautiful views on all the snowy mountain peaks including Cerro Castillo, very nice clear water lake and both the lake and the little beach / picnic area very clean. It has a nice flat green grass area to pitch your tent. We only chilled here an afternoon (less than 1 hour drive from Villa Cerro Castillo with our Mercedes Vito van), because we didn’t want to try to drive down the slightly sleep hill towards the grass area and little beach. But if you have a lighter weighting van or a 4x4, you could make it down there. You could also try to park across the road if you want to sleep here, but than you have to search a bit to level your car/van. Must be very quiet!

woke up to the sound of someone trying my door handle, my campsite had turned into a parking lot.
this campsite is where a rather large group of people come to unload thier ATVs, dirt bikes ETC.
I had to run over some shrub brush to get out from where I was blocked in

Arrived and it looked abandoned with roofs of some huts burnt down by fire.
We roamed the place until found a guy who said was the manager.
2500 CFA per person with a 4x4.
It's a bit run down probably after COVID years but good potential.
Cold shower only.

I rented a room but decided to sleep in my van and only use the bathroom, wifi and to hook up to the electricity of the room.
Paid 300 pesos.

Really nice location in a big park.I just came from Chile so I paid in chilenian pesos for me and my car 8000 pesos.I am surrounded from water and barbecue locations🕺🏼👀🥂

Water is still on!

It can be a bit confusing the first time to get the water to come out of the hose connection and not the bucket filler. Pull down on the gold end cap where the water flows out to redirect it to the hose part.

great park, the birds have ample space, and the big areas where you can go into the birds’ homes are fantastic. Additionally, they are doing a lot of rescue missions for endangered species. Money well spent, it is really worth it. Entry till 4:30, park closes at 6.

I was very disappointed about the night here. we went here to be in the Tikal site early and to ear, see animals but... generator is really load until 10pm and start again at 6am. toilets were closed all the time we were there. and it's 50qz/pers, very expensive for Guatemala and what you get.

Could not find this place. Or it was dry season?

Showers are only available when the pool is opened. I don't know the exact hours, but it's closed Sunday and Monday and closes at 3:30 on Saturday. The person I spoke to suggested coming between 7 and 10 am Tues-Sat

A smart and clean Hotel

Went to do some wild camping in the sanctuary, was informed by a park ranger that camping deep in the park isn't recommended because it's too remote and could be unsafe. redirected us to some options close to the game warden office that would be watched by a security guard all night. we could either go in some grass roof gazebos (one on the beach of the lagoon, one more in the woods) or a cabin where we would be able to charge our phones; all for FREE. we opted for the beach gazebo where we set up our hammocks. The sea breeze and view were amazing. the park ranger was so welcoming and generous. there are restaurants nearby if wanted but we brought our own food. highly recommend

Museum about El Salvador’s civil war that has photos, bombs, tunnels, and parts of helicopters from the war. Our guide fought in the war and had lots to share. Sad but very worth a visit.

Price was $3.75 for a tepid shower. Clean and there was a hair dryer.

Huge area, green, clean, showers and bathrooms are average at best, some areas have electricity, beach is very close, and the view is beautiful.
But in weekends, holidays etc …. its quite loud and dirty, lots of people partying, garbage everywhere, loud music all day long.

huge gravel lot, cell tower lot and abandoned gas station lot. almost zero traffic at the exit. great spot to sleep.

Secure parking.
Hard to find as there is no sign. It’s just next to the Western Union.
Very very basic rooms with bathrooms similar to campground facilities.
Not very clean and extremely rudimentary, but it’s by far the cheapest place in town (50,000 pppn - the next cheapest place I’m aware of is 140,000) and has plenty of secure parking space. Wifi works good.

Nice view but the traffic nearby kills the mood.

Estávamos com um problema na trizeta, passamos por 4 oficinas na cidade e nenhuma delas identificou o problema corretamente nem quis fazer o serviço.
Na Renault, me disseram que eu deveria voltar ao Brasil.
Carlo foi um ótimo mecânico que identificou e resolveu o problema. Sua oficina é organizada e ele tem um preço justo.
Vamos voltar ao Brasil mais tranquilos devido ao serviço feito aqui.
