Eliza is from a town in the south, Pedregal, home of Arepas Vientos… and she makes them here! Stop and try them, it’s worth it, its like eating something between a pancake or donut.

We got followed by a new bronze Toyota Hi Lux into town, from the university onwards. In town a guy with a yellow vest jumped in front of us asking for us to follow him and buy a permit. This was just before the bridge. We doubled back and continued again when the guy in the vest jumped out again. Ofcourse we continued on 👍. Be wary of people following you and mirroring your moves.

heavy rain and an accident a bit further on the road made us stop here, we staid in front of the restaurant and gas station, safe, no problems. Did not use any facilities.

Very nice place to camp with cold shower and toilet, friendly staff, very spot for surfing, they can prepare food for you, you can buy water, price 5000 CFA with the tent. There is a dirt road to get here possible for motorcycle, car and bike.

amazing place to spend the night. We got here with our 2wd, but if it rains it can get very muddy here so watch out. We stayed on top of the view instead of between the pinnacles because we were not sure if we could get back up on the steep hill. This gave us an amazing view with sunrise

This are the coordinates for the back entrance. It is much easier (and safer) coming in and out from here than from the main entrance. Just take the little road until to get to an orange gate. Horn and they will open.

the gates were closed when we arrived, when we asked the locals they said it was permanently closed.

A battery place for both motorcycles and vehicles. The signs outside say parts for motorcycles, and batteries for American vehicles. Quick, easy, and helpful. They take card.

Segunda vez que paramos aqui para fazer um café da tarde durante a viagem. Ao lado do rio e com a sombra da ponte, ótimo pra dormir uma soneca também.

Nice café, excellent sweets and other snacks. The coffee is good (not as good as in Nomad coffee), however from a Nespresso machine. They also have delicious bread, sourdough, multigrain etc. WiFi is fast, as everywhere in town.
