Description

Nice site near Interstate 17 with great Verizon and AT&T reception. Part of Agua Adria Monument area. There’s a sign saying 4x4 needed but this is not necessary to reach some sites. Great view!

Latest Check-Ins

3rd year in Nov. coming here. Lots of places to camp. Road is pretty good. My 24’ Class C with toad made it no problem. Don’t let the “4x4 only” sign scare you. Maybe if it’s rained, it could be a problem.
A bit of trash around. I picked up as much as I could around my camp. I couldn’t take the couch some left (probably a few years ago), but I did break some of it apart and use for a campfire.
Stay away from the main dirt road as far as you can, as there are a lot of speeding cars, trucks and OHV’s going by. A good 100’ should do. Maybe even less.
Rolling hills and great views. Very breezy.

Report Check-In

woke up to the sound of someone trying my door handle, my campsite had turned into a parking lot.
this campsite is where a rather large group of people come to unload thier ATVs, dirt bikes ETC.
I had to run over some shrub brush to get out from where I was blocked in

Great BLM area for dispersed camping. Signs say “4WD advised”, but I have come here in Nov. for 2 years now towing my car with my 2WD 24’ Class C, just fine.
This road is a back way into Cordes Lakes, that does have a steep hill right before getting to the town-I think that’s what it is for (but I made it up in my car).
Several good spots to camp around the area, with great cell service. Most are not perfectly level, and require some blocks.
Except it to be a bit windy, as it is open desert land. Leave it cleaner than you found it.

Amazing campsites! There are 5 or 6 dispersed camp sites before you get to a very steep hill that I’d recommend 4WD for. All sites were taken except for the last one right before the hill when I arrived at 5PM but I was able to make it easily that whole way with 2WD. Probably wouldn’t recommend 2WD if it were raining or muddy though! Some ATV traffic during the day but everyone was super friendly!

Furthest site back is super peaceful on a Sunday night. It's on the left just as the road turns very steep. Enough space for a medium size rig or several small ones. 2WD to this point. From there it goes up a steep hill, on the other side is a small town. There are cows grazing wild so be aware with your pets.

Report Check-In

Was a windy evening, but was a great place to stop for a night or two. Close to the highway so traffic noise was present but not too obnoxious. Level ground fire pit and the road out was not bad at all.
Good cell service

Report Check-In

Dirt roads. Lots of people riding UTVs and ATVs. Plenty of pull offs, do not recommend coming after dark as road does require some navigation.
