We stayed one night at the finca. Very quiet and beautiful. You awake with the sounds of the birds. Fresh nights 18-19C degrees very enjoyable. Very nice owners. Short and cute sendero. There is a small parking lot that can accommodate 2 to 3 RVs not more. You can use the banos and the garden. For one night, family of 5 and RV plus a bag of coffee we paid approx 300C. Regarding the road, Google map is in fact wrong at the very end. Make a left, not a right

Spent my first night in Charlotte here. It's a really nice spot, very dark and quiet and very safe neighborhood. I decided to try a 2nd night, and left early. A minute after pulling up, a vehicle (either cop or security patrol) drove past me and had a light on me. They drove away, but I was spooked (since it is technically illegal to sleep in your vehicle overnight in Charlotte) so I left and went to a lame Walmart parking lot. Great spot though, just show up quietly and you will probably be fine. Has a really nice open lot to take your dog out and stretch in the morning.

Great spot surrounded by other vehicles. I saw some no parking signs in some parts the next morning but I was quiet and nobody bothered me. So I spent the day at the beach and nighttime at this spot. Then returned to the beach the next morning. It’s noisy and vehicles drive by fast next to the van. But no complaints

Huge parking lot, a bit noisy. Leveled terrain.

Spotlight stays on throughout the night. It felt safe.

Great little campground, we showed up around 3pm and found a prime spot to park our 170 Sprinter. Not all spots will accomodate rigs much larger than us, especially if it's busy. There are 8 free sites, trash, pit toilets, no water, no service. Beautiful though and will be gorgeous when the creek is flowing.

nice, relatively quiet are not to far off the highway. main lot has tons of room we stayed one night in our 31 foot skoolie and had a good night's sleep! once you exit the highway the paved road can be a little rough, but the gravel road in the conservation area was in superb condition. (just take the turn in from the pavement a little slower than I did!) there are several designated camping areas around honey creek so you have options, but the area marked on the map is by far the biggest.

3 sites. We were the last to come so site 2 was ours. Stunning view. We payed 200 N$ p.p. Very friendly host. We came in at 18:45 so we were happy that there was place for us. on C14 was a sign that says 7 km. to the campsite, but when your at the entrance you have another long way to go. last bit of the road was heavy. Didn't need the 4x4.

This road is dotted with a bunch of campsites (big and small) with fire rings. It’s right off the main road but it feels very secluded because of all the trees. The dirt road is pretty smooth but narrow. I saw 3 other campers on my way in but no one drove past me all night. Came across a bit of broken glass and bullet casings at one of the sites but, overall, a peaceful & convenient spot.

I stayed here two nights while riding mtb in Bentonville. It's a 20 min drive to Coler and 15 mins to Slaughter pen, there's also trails that look fun from this parking lot. The service was in and out on ATT but could always send texts. There was a porta potty here. It is near a road but kind of tucked away and the noise isn't bad.

Guate>Honduras
WARNING: This took us 7 hours (95% of our time was spent standing in line). We arrived at 815am and left at 315pm. Bring a book.
*When you drive in the agent will quickly check your papers at the gate to make sure you have everything you need. Make sure you have the Honduras immigration pre-check PDF (on your phone is fine), which you need to submit online in advance.
*First, you go to the white tent on the right and park, wait in line. They review your Covid vax (use a copy) and passport. They give you back the vax card stamped and a piece of paper with your temperature, also stamped. You will need these at Honduras immigration.
*Next, go to the Centro de Control. Get in line to exit Guatemala. Have your passport stamped that you exited.
*Next, get in the line next door to enter Honduras. Give them your passport and the papers from the vax check in. You will also need to show your Honduras immigration pre-check here. You’ll give finger prints and they take your picture. You pay 30Q. They stamp your passport. Apparently the date they give on the stamp is the entire time for Guate, El Salvador, Honduras and Nicaragua so we asked the guy to give us 70 more days just in case. This line took 3 hours and people started arguing because someone cut in line and the police even came to calm everyone down.
*Next, go back to the entrance and make a copy of your newly stamped passport page.
*Next, go over to the Aduanas. Bring your Guate TIP, your DL, your passport, copy of passport photo page, copy of passport Honduras stamp, copy of car title, copy of car registration. 780L. Note: Guatemala has a copier to make the copies they need, but Honduras does not.
*Next, go to SEPA if you have a dog. They need the certificate of health, proof of vaccinations and the paper you should have gotten at the Guatemalan border. Unfortunately, we didn’t have this paper because everyone we asked at the Guatemalan border said we didn’t need anything for the dog. They called the other border and finally let us go. Also bring your drivers license and card (can’t pay cash for this one). 300L.
*Now you can finally drive out. Show your passport, the dog paper, the Guate exit TIP paper and the Honduras TIP paper. They glance in your car window. Then you can finally go!

1300L per test. Can pay with cash or card. They can send results for you to print so you don’t have to return for pickup. We went at 1130am, but results won’t come til 6-8pm. Keep the receipt because you will need it at the border.

I stayed at Campsite 2, right next to the river. It was very bumpy on the way, and I had to keep a close eye on the road to avoid the big potholes/puddles in my sedan. There's a firepit, and a place selling firewood on the way in. wood was a little damp, but burned fine. All in all a quiet night.

This place is super nice this time of year. It wasn’t too hot or too cold for us sleeping in a tent. The ground was nice and soft and we managed to find a flat spot right where we put our tent. Road/trail to the site is sandy, especially if you go a little too far to the right or left of the existing tracks (almost got stuck since it was dark out and harder to see). Still doable in pretty much any vehicle as we did it in a 2004 VW Jetta without airing down the tires.
