This spot has many comments already, but I’m adding to them in part to respond to the traveler who said to “not put every level spot on iO” and who was dismissive of identifying this particular location. First of all, this place was perfect for us. We’d stopped at several other more beautiful, remote, and private spots, but the mosquitos drove us onward. This pull-off is lovely. Good view, relatively quiet (the Alaska Hwy is pretty low key at night), plenty of room, and a nice lake to wander by after dinner. Obviously we would have seen all that upon driving by, but it made the decision to pass up other spots easier knowing this spot was in the distance. I look to iOverlander to help me anticipate what’s in front of me, not just to reveal hidden or secret or extraordinary camping spots.

Good place for the night. The lake was fogged over so we stopped to wait until the next morning. Nice view and easy access to the water.

Loved this place! It’s just a pull out next to the street but the street is quiet during the night and you have a really nice view over the bay/lake. You can walk down to the lake easily which is perfect if you decide for a dip in the really cold water. Would definitely recommend!

Large gravel pull out about 2 miles south of the Lake Kulane bridge. The small visitor center is on the north side of the bridge and there is another gravel pullout located there. This pullout has a great view of the lake and you can hear and see wave breaking on the beach. Plenty of room to manuver large rigs. Lake fron space tends to get taken by late afternoon.

The sound of the waves is just divine. No Verizon cell service.

Yeah, not bad. (There are better just a teensy bit farther east.) Living life in a van full-time, you appreciate any and all input in this app, even if there are better sites elsewhere. So, thank you for all the options out here! We appreciate it!

Like the other two said. Great place to sleep. Traffic noise is minimal. Beautiful views. What do you want for nothing.

The so called Kluane Lake 1 - 6 camping spots are - in our humble opinion - not more than gravel spots beside the road. You can find equally good spots (and much nicer ones) all along the Alaskan Hwy. Maybe camp Kluane Lake 3 is a bit better, but in general these camps are not worth to be mentioned in iOverlander. Please do not put every level spot on the roadside in iO! Thanks.
P.S. two comercial camps can be found between Kluane Lake 3 and Kluane Lake 6.
