Nice small campsite for 3-4 cars. Also very nice luxury tents to rent. We stayed 2 nights.

Behind the trees on the soccer field you can find some wind protection for a rooftop tent. There are trash bins as well and you have a beautiful sunset as well as sunrise over the lagoon.

Great option for water and dump. Easy access, once you turn off the main road just head straight back to the stop sign and it will be across the road on the right but the maintenance building.

Nice campground on a little lake (fairly dry now in April), some hookups and some without, good for a night if travelling through

Such a nice rest area! Very clean bathrooms, picnic area, playground and nice areas to walk the dog. A little noisy since it’s close to the highway at night, but that’s to be expected.

We didn't need a reservation. We paid 700 c for the vehicle (truck camper 7m) and two passengers, 72 c port tax, 94 import tax. Total 866 c. About 1h/1h30 by boat.

Nice campground, pricing as at April 2022 is still 150pppn for shared facilities. Some lower (thin) branches on the way in/out however no problem at my 3metre height. As mentioned by others, road noise & also very dusty. Clean bathrooms and there is a small pool too. Laundry service available as well. Friendly and helpful owners and nice to have the farmstall/cafe at the front.

Next to the road we found an easy access to the creek, with space large enough to turn, and flat enough to sleep. Several bushes shield you from the road, which unfortunately seems good enough for some people to use this spot as a bathroom. As long as you don't need to go outside, the view over the fields is nice, and the road is not too busy.

As Brooke said, a wonderful spot. The owners are SUPER friendly (Spanish only, but good Telcel here for google translate if you need it), the establishment is nice, it's dog friendly, the food is wonderful and wonderfully priced, great drinks menu, and quiet after restaurant closes. Parking overnight is free if you eat. A gem of a spot.

Were directed here by Termas el sauce. Mentioned it to the owner and she nodded, so seems they have an understanding that visitors of the termas can stay here. She was super friendly, so if you're not going to the termas I'm sure you can stay as well. You drive through a gate down to the river. Gate was closed, so we had to open it. Cows on the other side so make sure to close it again! Very nice views on the river.

We were going to camp here to split the journey between Chimoio and Vilankulo. When we got there they said we could camp but they couldn’t let us use a shower because all their chalets were full. They still wanted US$30 for 2 adults and 2 kids, so we decided to move on.

We did stay for lunch, which was incredibly expensive, 1000mtc for 3 tiny sandwiches and 4 soft drinks.

Probably wouldn’t come back.

50Mt toll to cross the bridge. Separate police and military checkpoint where they checked our passports. They asked what we had brought for them, but I smiled and said ‘sorry nothing’. They were a bit more pushy than most roadblocks, but keep smiling, and keep saying no and they’ll give up and let you through. Nothing to worry about.

You can't stay in the park anymore with a camper.
Entry fee is Gs 20.000/person/day and for our camper Gs 35.000/day

There a 3 waterfalls to see on short trails (100 m, 1 km, 3 km).

Short before the park entrance is a "area de camping". I made a check in for the camping.

Nice public area next to the river, toilets were closed all the time while we were there. Parked the van under some trees, there was a no camping sign which seemed to only apply to tents, lots of people living close by saw us and didn’t say anything. Very quiet after dark.

100p for 2 people in a van camped on the grass, with access to cold showers (such a treat in this heat). The wildlife here is AMAZING! We arrived at 5pm and left around 9am the next day, but easily saw 15 spider monkeys & as many howler monkeys on our evening & morning walks. They seem most active in the 2-3hrs before sunset & after sunrise, and we highly recommend exploring the jungle area next to Las Guacamayas resort— we stood directly below a tree full of howler monkeys and just observed them for 30min while they howled & hooted at each other! Such an incredible experience. Also saw a pair of wild macaws in the trees, a coatí scamper across the road & a wild javelina in the brush! What a place, so worth stopping for a night on your way to Frontera Corozal or Las Nubes.
