This is a gem of a spot, thought I would check it out and update. I arrived an hour ago took my cat for a walk. Made dinner and began to settle in. I got the knock. Hello it’s police you can’t camp here. Mind you it’s still day time. The sun is barely beginning to set. My response I’m not camping I’m traveling, took my cat for a walk in the field and now I’m making some dinner. He says he got a call from the neighbors that they had seen me here the last couple of days. :/ There is so much wrong with this I don’t even want to type that here. This spot is elite and for those that can blend in and not be perceived as a threat to the yes “rich”. I am a brown female in a 2003 Chevy express. Not a white female in a pro master. Officer says you can’t camp in public streets. I had absolutely no outside set up. He wasn’t a jerk, he was just moving me along for the sake of the wealthy elite. Oh well. “ Hey Siri where is the nearest Walmart? ”

Very quiet area surrounded by beautiful, expensive houses. There is an open field nearby where people walk their dogs. I stayed in my van as to not bring attention to myself. Good for an overnight stay.

Report Check-In

Spent my first night in Charlotte here. It's a really nice spot, very dark and quiet and very safe neighborhood. I decided to try a 2nd night, and left early. A minute after pulling up, a vehicle (either cop or security patrol) drove past me and had a light on me. They drove away, but I was spooked (since it is technically illegal to sleep in your vehicle overnight in Charlotte) so I left and went to a lame Walmart parking lot. Great spot though, just show up quietly and you will probably be fine. Has a really nice open lot to take your dog out and stretch in the morning.
