Very nice campground for $30 per night. First come first serve basis and it was quite busy for winter camping. Tents, Vans, RVs from all over the place. Toilets are clean, warm and functional. Separate fee to enter Bryce NP ($35). Gorgeous park and less busy than Zion NP. Well worth the visit.

would not try it with a 2WD, maybe not even a 4WD. we got sanded approx 150m from the entrance of this small path, then twice again on our way out, with a rather small camper (Mitsubishi L300). No chance to U-turn. The locals who helped us out told us it only gets worse further down the path.

All fine on the SL side, easy and smoth. No bribes of any type.
The problem is on the Liberian side.

We got the stamps for the passport and for the car. When we were about to leave the ECOWAS scammer showed up. He introduced himself showing an old police card that is already expired. Wearing flipflops, shorts and a Manchester United shirt. You would never believe this guy works for police.

He demanded that we have to pay for the ECOWAS insurance, and he will give you a receipt (toilet paper). He claimed that you cannot leave the border if you don't pay and if you don't have this paper, the police will stop you on the road and fine you. A COMPLETLY LIE.

We had to fight hard to not pay his scam. We made a scene, talked with other officers, everybody seems to be involved in the scam, but stay firm.

On the way to Robertsport, we had 2 police checkpoints. They NEVER asked for the ECOWAS insurance. Then, we were in Liberia for 10 days, around the country. NEVER asked for the ECOWAS insurance.

Super nice restaurant built the antique local way, with wood and mud walls. Food is typical from the area and the attention is great. Try the "conejo" or "cabrito", they're a must! If wanna overnight around here in motorhome, just park at the main square. It's feets away from the restaurant👍

The pin is in the entrance of El Diente nature area. They ask for 80 pesos per vehicle per night to camp there. Drive on to get to the parking, where you can camp. Not level at all, but for us it was fine with levelling blocks. No amenities, but very pretty nature. There’s a walking trail and it’s a popular climbing crag. You can do both sports climbing (single pitch and some multi as well, but only 2 pitches from what we’ve seen) and bouldering. Locals (climbers) have a guide in PDF that they shared with us. Cool place!
Phones: fine 4G signal and also reception.

stayed here last night. safe place, but it is very loud as the trucks apply their engines break as they head south on 135D. You better have good ear plugs. all night vehicles stop to use rear rooms and grab stuff at oxxo. Nobody bothered me as my roof tent popped up. It is very obvious that I am a tourist. Right behind bathrooms, there is a water faucet that you can fill your water tank.

Great place for a meal, the menu is online with pictures, waiters will use translator to help you pick easy and fast. Prices are a bit on the expensive site but worth the lack of headache in communication

I definitely NOT recommend this place. They wanted 500mxp a night to be on street level (not even the beach side) we have a camper of only 20ft long. The attitude of the woman and the owner was completely unacceptable, we finally end up staying at the camping located 2 minutes away from this place (250mxp/night)

We drove up to the spot in the dark. Three blocks before the spot is the police department, two blocks ahead on the right side a very high fenced building and opposite to it an abandoned building. We didn't feel safe at all and left immediately. Very creepy area overall

Moradores da cidade nos recomendaram dormir neste posto por ser mais seguro do que dormir na orla da praia. O posto é 24h. Banheiro ok. Duchas com água quente por 50 pesos por pessoa (a limpeza poderia ser melhor). Muitos pernilongos, usar repelente.

Germán and Elena welcome overlanders to stay on their very tranquil property not far from Santa Elena, Guarne and the Parque Avi (and cable car to Medellin). They have two cabanas which they rent out, and plan to make a camping area on part of their land in the near future to accommodate travellers. In the meantime, they will open up the bathroom in one of the cabanas for your use. We stayed here for two weeks. Germàn is a wonderful tour guide and would be happy to drive you into Medellin or nearby Santa Elena/Guarne or even assist you on public transport. He will arrange tours for the communa 13 experience too. If you are looking to improve your Spanish he would be happy to teach you or just converse with you, in a slow and patient manner. Highly recommended. Word of warning: anything bigger than a truck camper might not make it down their drive way. Height is not an issue though. Do give German a call before arriving, he’d be happy to hear from you: +57 314 823 3938

El Manglarcito is on the same lot as "El Manglar" they are both owned by the same family. son owns the larger, more established one. mother owns manglarcito. we camped on the grass, infront of the restaurant. there is also spots under shady trees. it was nice to have delicious food available at the restaurant. Doña letty (owner), angel (waiter) and ana (cook) are so kind, we were here for a week and they made us feel like family. the washrooms are clean, showers are clean too. i would recommend during the week as it is MUCH MUCH QUIETER than the weekend.

contrary to quiet weekdays (mon to thur) the weekend (fri to sun)is crazy; lots of loud music *battle of who has thenloudest speakers lol* the ATVS AND RZRS are going back and forth ALL DAY AND NIGHT. i swear i heard them at 4am on sat. cars can be lined up along the beach too. it's wild. i had never experienced this b4

you can connect phones and electronics to charge inside restaurant

there is no gate, but doña letty has plans to add soon. we felt VERY safe here and we were the only campers during the week.

lots of dogs~ we called them the paw patrol lol there were like 10 that stopped by every night. friendly

there is a sink that is infeont of washrooms were you can wash your dishes.

the sand dunes are close. very walkable. it was amazing

we paid 100mxp/adult and 80mxp/kid

Probably the best campsite we’ve stayed at in our 3 month overlanding trip. Beautiful, peaceful setting on the banks of the Zambezi, drifting to sleep with the sounds of the river, frogs and hippos was idyllic. Well designed and clean outdoor bathroom, kitchen and fire pit as well as a gorgeous swimming pool and lounger to relax. Beulah and Wynand were the perfect hosts, warm & welcoming, giving us tonnes of tips for Malawi and even tumble drying our clothes after we’d hand washed them. Would highly recommend staying here!

Beautiful spot directly by the river (dry season), of course rocky but no problem. We used it for a very quiet night only hearing some frog croaking, on our way to Lago de Yojoa. If you come from Gracias, right after passing the bridge turn right, go down the gravel road for a few meters, turn right again, passing under the bridge and you reach the river-bank where you can choose the best spot. A few young locals around, but nobody bothered us. Felt very safe. Good Claro signal, nothing else.

We have changed the rear breaks of our Iveco Daily. We could stay into our camper, with our dogs, all the time for the works.
They did the reconstruction of the breaks, because here Iveco doesn't exist. And did it very fast, in two hours and a half, all ok, and the price, 75 €.
Very friendly workers.

We miss the dulce de leche 🇦🇷 so we bought the "rollos de manjar", so yummy! it's like a little sweet bread with manjar (jam) inside, same flavor than dulce de leche! 20cent each. The little bread of cheese is also tasty.
Auto service bakery, good prices.

We went to "cafeteria paolita" and tried the tortillas (they make them in front of you) 60 cent each!! Delicious, we recommend the yuca and the choclo ones. They also have coffee, chocolate, juices, (60cent each) There's tables inside and outside, or benches on the little square.
