Clean and remote, yes. but at one end is a bar which seems to be closed all the time. WE arrived at 1900 in a saturday , Nobody there. WE parked the Car left at the entrance. all quite. at midnight some Cars arrived and parked at the bar to make a funny saturday night Party. they did Not Take Care about us, beside loud music nothing happend. Cat is still there and hungry. Not Sure what this place really is. very Clean so someone Takes Care. maybe on another weekday a perfect spot. approach via Village more easy.

Great spot for overnight camp with van. Recommend arriving from 8pm as it’s cheaper. 8pm-8am = $20. Pay at machines. Wardens do go around in AM to check. Well lit public restrooms. Stayed on a Saturday night, was busy with locals at the beach but that didn’t bother us. Was very safe. Good location. Note- there are a lot of loud sea lions which make noises all through the night- this also didn’t bother us! Would recommend this spot.

Abdul helped us out with a spare part, they do great work, they even wait for you outside the city and will guide you to the garage.

great couple that offer a place for some camper van for free. they offer wifi, toilets and water if needed. The night was calm and great. thanks a lot.

Arrived around 8pm, slept great. Enjoyed free coffee & a nice walk in the morning before heading out.

I arrived after ticketing/registration had closed and you're allowed to self-register and go in. All sites were booked so I just parked at the scenic overlook and stayed for the night! Honestly better views than down at the campsites anyway, and there was proper reception. :)

This was a great little overlander hub, with camping space for both tents and rooftop/rv type vehicles. Right by the beach, chill and quiet at night, great sunsets. There are a few bathrooms & showers available. The only downside for me was that at 5am there were howler monkeys directly above my tent, and while that’s pretty cool it also meant I didn’t get much sleep. Only stayed one night but could easily have stayed here longer

The parking is kind of cramped, as described and you can end up next to the smoking area. However the place is super chilled with some nice areas to hangout in. The owners are lovely to chat to

Superb campsite with the best washroom facilities we've seen in Kenya. Spacious campsite, that is free of music. Wonderful views over Lake Naivasha. Truly helpful staff who will guide you on walks around the estate. Check out their informative website for more details. New facilities are being developed all the time. If you do visit, ask for directions from the highway, as Google maps leads you to a dead-end.

This spot doesn’t exist anymore! All is overgrown.

But you can spend a night about 6km before this spot in a ”fenced” clearing that has one building on it (a shed with some kind of a generator in it). You cannot close the ”gate”, but we had a very quiet night. A short drive then to the Tsau gate on the next morning.

And NO, you can’t pay by card at the Tsau Gate! At least 99% of the time, we think. ;) So always have cash for the park and camping fees.

A really nice padstal on the outskirts of this not so nice town.

Recommended stop on the long haul from Kimberly to Johannesburg.

Huge flat bush area with trees for some shade close to the river. Entrance through the gate on the (no trucks) rest area. Easy access for all rigs. Garbage bins and pit toilet on the rest area. We enjoyed 2 peaceful nights.

we spent 1 night here and was enough. people stayed under tents close to us and make noise all the night. we think it's homeless people that stayed there. access by a gravel road that is very steep. no problem with 4x4 but be careful if not.

This place was AMAZING.
$100 camping per vehicle plus $25/pp for a day use fee. There are lots of campgrounds near this National Park, but this one is super tucked away and not on the side of the road.

There’s a sign that says ‘Llano El Churro’ - that’s where you want to turn in and start following a gravel road to the campground. Any car can get down, don’t worry.

Loads of hiking and biking paths directly from the campground. My dog couldn’t have been happier in the vast amount of space.

Firewood for sale, too. The nicest group of people run the campground, and they love to talk and learn about where everyone is from, even if your Spanish isn’t great :)

We miss everyone already! We stayed a week or so… it was hard to leave.

Plus the actual National (or state?) Park itself has awesome single track for anyone who mountain bikes. There are tall trees but our Starlink was just able to get signal to work.

Nice and chilly at night. Perfect temp in the days. One of our favorite spots since crossing into the mainland.

No water when we arrived, the tank looked to be unused for some time.

Perfect place to stay if you come to visit Porto Novo (40 min drive from the city Center). Directly on the beach (unfortunately lots of trashes ...), chill and quiet place. Some people from the church close by came to say hi, really friendly. The way to come is really sandy and narrow so a 4x4 is necessary !

In this place you get the best coffee and very BIG cakes. Order doen stairs and go upstairs for nice and relax seating. With WiFi.
