A really lovely spot. We arrived late after a double feature at the 66 drive in but had a long lazy morning enjoying the water the next morning. Humphrey spent his 6th birthday swimming and enjoying a break from the drive

just stop to have a look. didn't like the place. not clean, lot of rubish : strange for an "ecological' place!

Confirming what everyone else said. This would be a good deal at twice the price (don’t tell them that!) Had a pleasant 4-night riverside stay for $20. Can’t beat that! It’s a bit busier on the weekends but still plenty quiet. Will definitely stay here again if I get back this way.

Nice SP style spots on the ocean. Very well maintained. Some road noise from 101. Only stay on the ocean side.

Super camping!

Costs 10s to camp (you pay for two days of entry at 5s/day) and you get to park right in front of the Laguna with a great view. Keep a close eye on your belongings though. I foolishly left my iPad out to take a time lapse and it was snatched up when I wasn't looking. Aside from that it's a beautiful place to camp. Cold at night so bust out your good blankets. Bathrooms for 1s at the Refugio.

highly recommend.sauna and wood for fireplace included. Open from June 1 to end of August.

Good place to spend the night before crossing into Nicaragua. We paid L1,450 for two queen beds (2 adults, 1 child). The bathroom was large and clean, with nice hot water. Air conditioning. There weren’t a lot of amenities when we first got into our room, but they provided everything we requested (soap, more towels). Caspian swam in the shallow pool, which was reasonably clean, though it was a bit cool by dinnertime. We had dinner outside by the pool. There was a party with loud music in the outdoor space, but they were finished by 10 or so. Breakfast is included, but we just took a coffee to go so we could get an early start at the border. Overall, this was a very nice hotel. Our nicest we’ve stayed at before crossing a Central American border.

really good spot for such a populated area. level ground and quiet corners with a decent pit toilet. beach indeed very nice and worth half a day or extended meal. a lot of people around though, mostly dog walkers, sunsetters, and runners. highway noise still present at night.

Incredible hidden gem of Mexico!! We will be staying for a while and I report back again soon. The drive is endless nothing but Joshua trees and deserted mountains. Once arriving to Aramberri you should get gas. The water and river here near La Chingada is beautiful.

On the way we had to make a welding repair and stopped along a gorgeous highway. In the evening the Guardia Nacional stopped by us and said it was dangerous and to get to town.
Once arriving in La Chingada they said lots of people come to drink and it can be dangerous so since we have kids and dogs they lets us park inside the park without paying. It was much nicer in the parking and we will be going back out next week.

We don’t buy into the Mexico fear too much. We have been driving around for 2 years now. That was our first encounter with the Guardia Nacional

As described. Easy to reach, also with 2wd. Couple of places to choose from. Slightly elevated from the actual beach. Few people come by but otherwise lonley. Easy access for swimming. We really appreciated the shade provided by a few rocky outcrops on the beach.

We crossed from Albania to Kosovo. On the Albanian side they just waved us through. On the Kosovo side we had to get insurance sorted and then we could enter. Very friendly. Insurance for a moto was a minimum 15 days and was €10, cash only.

With a Mastercard you can't withdraw money on both ATMs (Atlasmara and Access). Both don't accept Mastercard. To get money we had to exchange Dollars/Euros - possible in both banks.

Small supermarket selling farm produce, meat and beer. The pies are exceptional: packed full of your chosen filling eg Steak and Kidney or Beef and Onion. Sold hot or frozen. $2.50 each.

Lugar increíble para estacionar. Las reglas indican que es gratis y máximo 14 días. Nada de nieve a esta fecha. Mucho espacio para todo tipo de vehículos. Habían unos 8 campers cuándo llegamos y aún quedaba mucho espacio. Justo al lado del lago.

Amazing place to park. The rules indicate that it is free and maximum 14 days. No snow to this date. Plenty of space for all types of vehicles. There were about 8 campers when we arrived and there was still plenty of room. Parked just next to lake, beautiful.

Safe and quite. We spend one night here. Very friendly people.

We parked beside water view with picnic table another parked behind us . Other side is filled early in the day with people going to work 7 am . Marina is a members only road Quiet and not much road noise.

The coordinates of this place are wrong, this is at an unpaved road, not very wide, where you only could park at the roadside. But maybe you could stay at the grassy field at following coordinates: -27.130149, -55.700585. We did like the parking lot more. We stayed at the parking lot few nights, very quiet and WiFi available from the ticket office. They also offer water and toilets. On Sunday very noisy until noon, because of tourist buses letting the motor on the whole time.

easy accessabel even when rainy unlike to the other iOverlander spot, solid gravel road. There are some mountain bike and hores riding tracks around.

A nice 3.5 star place ok for a night. 27 Euro for a double room with breakfast. Parking is off street and ok for bikes and vehicles.

Great place with nice view and currently mostly covered with dry grass. Almost completely out of sight from the road which is far enough away and only a few cars passed by between 14 and 19:00. Easy to reach, just follow the existing track between the 4 old fence posts leaving the gravel road as said before. We could see some traces of antilopes but were nog lucky enough to see them. Anyway, good place to spent a night between Solitaire and Sesriem!

With the beautiful pitches of the Erongo Rocks Campsite, we found our absolute favorite campsite in Namibia. The campsites (especially Camp Granite and Camp DikDik) are beautifully laid out and have been completely integrated into the rocky landscape. We stayed at Camp Granite for three nights. This offers an inviting seating area that has been equipped with an awning for shade, a sink, an outdoor kitchen with a ready-to-use gas stove, a fireplace for cooking with wood and a beautiful outdoor bathroom. Rarely have we enjoyed going to the toilet so much ;-). Another braai area has also been created below the lounge area and the kitchen between three spherical rocks to watch the starry sky by the fire in the evening. Everywhere you can see the attention to detail and the work and effort that went into building the campsites. This also justifies the slightly above average price.

What we also really liked were the many, well sign-posted walking and hiking trails and viewing points that have been created especially for the guests on the huge farm area. From short walks for pleasure to long hikes, there is something for every age and skill level. The paths are beautiful and varied. Here, too, you can see how much love and effort everything was put into place.

The whole region around Erongo Rocks also offers enough variety to stay here for a few days. You can visit a San Living Museum, see ancient murals, go horseback riding (organized from Omaruru) or go on safari in your own vehicle (we saw giraffes, zebras and impalas - it is supposed to have also some leopards and rhinos in this area).
Near the campsites there is a beautiful lodge called AiAiba with an amazing panoramic view and a nice swimming pool. We drove there one evening with our camper to have a delicious 3-course menu - we were also allowed to use the outdoor area and the pool beforehand in the afternoon.
We loved Erongo Rocks Campsites and will be back for sure.

Un lugar seguro para pernoctar. Esta justo al frente de la playa. Es muy tranquilo y las personas son muy amables. Es gratis. Nosotros nos quedamos 3 noches sin problemas. Hay baños y duchas en la zona.
