No cash payments allowed. Payments can be done with mobile money or credit card but it can take a while because of connection problems... 40 USD pp park fees + 50 usd car fees daily + 20,000 UGX pp camping. Those are the international fees starting from June 2022. Really beautiful park and the Ishasha River Campsites are really cheap and worth to stay if you enjoy the bush. We had elephants, hippos, waterbucks, beautiful colobus monkeys and a gennet visiting us at the campsite.

Campsites in Queen Elizabeth NP are really cheap and worth to stay if you enjoy the bush! We had elephants, hippos, waterbucks, beautiful colobus monkeys and a gennet visiting us at the campsite. Yes, the rangers don't have the same notion of privacy or noise but they take it very well if you explain that you want them to be a bit further and to be more silent. No MTN internet signal but Airtel internet works well at the campsite.

Nice, private and the views are awesome! Very quite and just a couple miles outside of town, but feels like you’re in the middle of no where.

Small parking area with upper and lower gravel lots. The lower lot was pretty flooded from snow melt and rain so we stayed in the upper lot. There’s room for about two vans in each lot. Toilets were on the lower lot but we don’t know if they were open. Trash can on upper lot. We had to use go-treads to be level. A lynx walked right by our van at dusk.

$8 showers, $5 if you have a CDL. Not the best showers but they do the trick. They also supply towels

Two of our group camped while the other two took a chalet. As one person in our group said, arriving here was like arriving at an oasis! Jaco was very helpful in getting us settled and sorting out Namibian Sim cards. His food was really good but his pizzas were really outstanding. Johan was a great adviser on our travel plans and steered us in the right direction. Overall, well worth a stop.

Great place. First-come-first-serve. It's more set up for RV/camper, but great to tent as well. Water in the public bathroom, no WiFi.

So be prepared to be attacked really badly if you leave anything open after dark

Nice little Finca with a friendly owner who speaks english. Fits 1 big rig which can be leveled. More spaces who aren’t leveled. Good to know that there is a high restriction, it should be around 2,80m. We stayed in our van in front of a cabana for 20k in total. And we could use there laundry machine once. The cabana has a clean toilet and warm shower. Nice terrace and chill area where you can sit and relax. In the morning we got a free delicious coffee.

Located directly on the river, separated only by trees. $20/night.
Sites 1 and 2 are "first comes" and self-registration. Sites 3-6 by reservation only via reserve.albertaparks.ca (two sites side by side each).
Four stars because as of early June 2022 and Saturday are all by themselves.
Small stone beach available. Otherwise there is not much to do here.

Good to know: no hiking trails, 1 outhouse per gender, free wood, water via pump (non-potable), table bench and firepit per site. No net. No ATVs, snowmob. etc.

(My review / view is compared to other places in BC/Alberta)

Dirt parking lot off the side of the highway, right at the entrance to Crazy Horse. We were one of three overnight vehicles and felt completely safe; Verizon cell service was fine. Yes, you can hear the highway noise, but it did get quiet in the middle of the night. Google Maps says that the parking lot closes at 5pm, but we were able to enter/exit as we needed to. If you're visiting between Memorial Day & Labor Day, check out the nighttime laser light show at Crazy Horse! They gave us a pass to come back the next day to see the memorial during the daytime, too.

Nice place i stay here for a lot of time but since 3 weeks if you don t like mexican music the weekend don t come here. The mexican profite of his beaches now. Super place, j ai passé beaucoup de temps ici mais depuis trois semaines les mexicains ont repris possession de leurs terres et c est très bruyant surtout les week-end. Vous êtes averti et j y suis toujours

A typical hostel! And yes it is very popular with backpackers. There is a camping area but it is on the small side. Nevertheless, we did fit (we’re also pretty tall) and the internet reached our camper. As described, we could hang out in the common areas and even help ourselves to the drinking water. We found $6 p/p to be very reasonable. The sea and the town are a bit on the rough side though!

Went there, near the train tracks. Very ugly place with trash everywhere, abandonned tents, and two cars that don't look like cars anymore. Don't go there. The Children of the Earth do not approve.
