Got here late so it’s hard to see but a few other campers are here. We set up our tent, heard a loud train but other than that, it’s quiet!

Amazing little free campground at the municipal park! Picnic tables at most sites, right on the lake. There is a splash pad, slide into the lake, docks, free washrooms. $5 showers (unlimited time) and a delicious food stand in the rec centre (building shares the same parking lot as the campground). This is so amazing to be offered for free. Just across the road is a free dump station as well as potable water. This community offers everything campers need for free! So amazing

decent spot for making lunch, would likely be a good spot for an overnighter. didn't see any homeless or methheads as some have mentioned.

great spot even just to have a rest or a quick swim.

Rec Center is closed Monday and Tuesday. So no showers on those days. Camping is good.

Nice free municipal campground on a lake with picnic tables, fire rings, bathrooms w/ running water nearby, playground, swimming dock. Hot showers available at the nearby recreation center for $5 per person.

Pretty decent spot! Sites are clean, and all is as described. Showers at the rec center are hot, and $5CAD unlimited time, however there’s only one shower per side. Currently some kids listening to music at the skate park but they’re not bothering anyone, just having fun in a small town. Love places that have free municipal campgrounds!

A fairly open campground. The upper sites are closer to the road we stayed on the lower level right by the water. Nice! and a view. Heard a train a few times during the night but in the distance. Police drove around and so close to town.

Nice lake, campsites with fire rings. But watched a couple seemingly homeless looking people stumble out from the end of the campground. Looks like drug use. One fell over into bushes. Doesn’t seem safe, not staying

Nice little campground, for the sites next to lake, back in from large gravel area. Stay up to 72 hours.

Very nice spot to camp. There is a great playground and water park for the kids along with the lake to swim in. Bonus that it is free for 72hrs of camping.

All as above.camping is restricted to 72 hours. Showers C$ 5 are available in the recreational building which is the large building on the left as you drive. use of the gym is $5.75

Great place. First-come-first-serve. It's more set up for RV/camper, but great to tent as well. Water in the public bathroom, no WiFi.

Muy buen lugar para dormir. Varios campos con mesa picnic y parrilla BBQ al lado del lago. Además mucho espacio para cualquier tipo de RV. Sanitarios limpios. Área de juegos para niños. Todo gratis.

Very good place to overnight. Several spots with picnic table and BBQ grill next to the lake. Also, a lot of space for any type of RV. Clean washrooms. Game area for children. All free.

Not much to add here other than to say this is a really nice thing for the town to do. These are nice campsites right by a very nice park and the town lake. You can walk to restaurants very easily from the site. There a toilets open until the evening very close to you. You do hear some road noise but the town is pretty quiet overall at night.

It was fairly full when we arrived at 5 pm but we were lucky to get a spot. After dinner a lot of the day use people left leaving only 2 tents and 3 RVs. Nice location on the beach. Washrooms were opened during the day Thank you Burns Lake only.

Great place to spend the night with view of beautiful Burns Lake. Free. Clean facilities. Stong internet. Typical small town noise didn't keep me from sleeping soundly.

Nos quedamos dos días. Vale la pena, excelentes instalaciones gratis. Juegos para niños, lago para nadar y pescar truchas, parrillas, sombra, baños, máquinas de ejercicios, pista de bmx. A pocos metros sanidump y agua potable

Can attest- great slot close to town, but far enough off the highway. I rolled in at sunset on a Sunday and all the spots were taken. That said, I’m on a motorcycle and am hammock camping and there were plenty of trees to hang my hammock from as well as room go park my bike right beside me. Lake has a great swimming area. Locker rooms are a plus!

We arrived around 2pm and many spots were available including a corner view one which we took. By late evening fully taken so suggest come early. Multiplex next door now charges CAD 6 pp for day use. We used fitness centre (okay nothing great but did the job) and hot showers. Nice one night stay.

Nice spot! In the building next door is a gym, climbing wall, squash court and...SHOWERS! For about 8 CAD you can acces all of this. Camping is indeed free and nice!

pretty busy place as we pulled in just at dark. there was already 5 people and 3 more showed up right after us. a couple generators runn8ng throughout the night and people talking around the campfires. We had full cell signal and it was free and bathrooms were clean and nice with hot water. wouldn't want to spend more than a night in this tight if quarters with this many people though.

You can stay free at this place for 72 hours. It is quiet in the night. It is possibe to use the public toilets from 7 am to 9 pm. But we didn't see a pit toilet. Dumpingstation is near the campground. The lake is very nice.

Just a few spots to camp among trees. Some picnic tables. A pit toilet at night. During day the flush toilets are open. Playground. Grass. Lake access. Near town. FREE!!

Great spot beside the lake. Free. Beach games 5mjns to town quiet. There are amazing mountain bike trails 3kms away. Just ask anyone in town
