Lovely peaceful campsite. Good viewing of monkeys, hippos seen better at campsite two. Rangers stayed all night not too loud. basic toilet and cold showers.

Report Check-In

The campsite is beautiful with great views over the river with many hippos and to the DRC. Price is 20.000 UGX pp. Ablutions were not great, and there was no water when we were there, apparently some problem with the pump. They provided firewood so we could make a fire at night. When it gets dark, 2 or 3 guys from UPDF are coming for security. They are talking the whole night, but as the hippos are most of the time even noisier it wasn't really disturbing.

Campsites in Queen Elizabeth NP are really cheap and worth to stay if you enjoy the bush! We had elephants, hippos, waterbucks, beautiful colobus monkeys and a gennet visiting us at the campsite. Yes, the rangers don't have the same notion of privacy or noise but they take it very well if you explain that you want them to be a bit further and to be more silent. No MTN internet signal but Airtel internet works well at the campsite.

Nice and spacey campsite right at the river Ishasha with a view to Congo (DRC) at the opposite shore. Facilities ok, running water, and flushing pit toilet. Cold shower, but good pressure. We had 3 armed rangers guiding us through the night. And other staff made us a fire in the evening. $5/pppn + park fees. Lots of hippos at the shore. We also had an elephant visiting us at the campsite in the evening! Can recommend staying here, great experience. The campsite nr.2 has better views to the river, but no facilities at all.

A beautiful camp as described. Unfortunately they are now charging a price for the car per night pe
and not for all the days you stay in the park. weak MTN signal.

Report Check-In

large safe shady accessible campsite. 2 rangers around 24h. food and beer available from nearby village. great experience

Report Check-In

20.000 Schilling pppn + 40 USD entrance for the NP. Campsite on flat gras, 50m to the river and border to Kongo. There are many Hippos in the river, so you see them at day and hear them at night. They made a campfire and stayed there for security reasons the whole night. Facilities are not clean, so we washed ourselves with our own water... still a nice, quiet place in natur.

Report Check-In

accessible only with 4x4 and good clearance
