Very quiet, spacious, and gorgeous! Highly recommend this spot for a night.

Such a wonderful campsite right on the lake! A few basic but tasty restaurants nearby, plus you can walk across the border into Guatemala and check out the little market.

We negotiated 200p for 3 nights in our self-contained van. Wifi is dismal, but enough to send and receive the occasion message, so definitely better than nothing! Such nice people who own the place, and the little restaurant onsite will even deliver food to your campsite, which is really lovely at night. So many fireflies!!

Stayed at one of their riverside campsites for 3 nights. They have 3 campsites but only Otter and Hippo are at the river withe thecfacilities described by the last entry. There is a new owner now and she has given the lodge a new touch. As campers we felt really welcomed by her and her manager John. They even helped us getting our battery problem fixed. There is a camp attendant who makes the fire and even washes the dishes.
We don't know about the prices for the rooms, but camping is now 20US$ per person.
Good spot with nice staff.

On a plateau overlooking the Chilko River through Farwell Canyon and the hoodoos above. A bit off the road, pretty quiet. In spectacular surroundings!

La zona de acampe es grande. Con luz, electricidad y parrilla. Los baños 6.5 puntos. La ducha de hombres si se bañan 2 personas a la vez con el térmites que caliente ya apagado no pasan 5 minutos q ya se enfrió el agua. Tiene un térmites que muy chico. Ya bañándose solo no te alcanza no quiero imaginarme con el camping lleno. El resto bien

Very nice planet fitness!
Stayed 4 different nights here with no problems - visited other planet fitnesses in the area and this is my favorite one to park at in Houston so far! Pulled in late after 9 & got out around 8 each morning. Probably unnecessary but since I would be staying a few days and in a mini-skoolie I didn’t want to draw unnecessary attention to myself.

Nice quiet place, people start showing up around 8am -ish. Get one to two bar of service.

Beautiful camp ground. They offer tents, roof top lounge and food. You can stay wirh your car there.

Try to avoid police escort. We got unfortunately a police escort on an highway checkpoint (1 hour before, we were coming from Cairo).We were not allowed to stay there because of the police. We were told it is better to take the road on the northern part of the lake Qarun. If uyou can manage to avoid the police escort it should be possible to camp in the national park El Ryan as well (police did bot allow us). Finally we were escorted back to cairo by the police :-(.

Such a nice view of the Wadi, and perfect spot to leave early next morning and arrive as some of the first people in the wadi!

There are 2 spots with a view here and one on the other side of the road. Beautiful sunrise and sunset view.

We had a visit from 7 siblings that came to say hi and inspect all of our setup which was fun, otherwise very quiet.

Came here to check it out and decided to stay for a picnic. Very nice setting. I didn't find the descent to here difficult at all but you drive very slowly for sure (12km/h). This campsite is in their "Wilderness Campsites" price category along with Runde Gorge, Fishans, Bopomela, Lisoda, Pokwe, Gayiseni, Gorwe, Rossi Pools, Malilangani, Nyavasikana. Prices for these campsite category's are: SADC 63 USD International 90 USD for up to 3 people (if you book in advance). Or if you show up at reception prices are SADC 21 USD ppn International 30 USD ppn. Maximum of 12 people and 4 cars.

Excellent campsite unbelievably clean and well maintained for a National Park Campsite ! If you don't have the budget for an exclusive campsite this one is just as nice, as wild and almost as exclusive + it has hot showers, water, flush toilets and shelter for the rain / sun. They are all quite private and separated from each other. Beautiful views with hippos and elephants in the river AND in the campsite. Econet signal very bad even for Whatsapp throughout the park.

This is a decent hotel right beside the road. They let us park our pickup camper in the parking area for the night for free. We would have stayed in a room but they don't take dogs. Rooms looked fine though at 650peso/2pax. Wifi if staying at hotel, and good there's TelCel and AT&T
Villa Ahumada seems famous for it's burritos so we ate at the fun food court beside the hotel

Unsure how to rate this place. It's just a small spot right next to the road. Yes it has beautiful views and fast claro 4G, but not if I wasn't really tired of this endless demanding road, I wouldn't have stayed. Not many cars pass, but for some reason, just as many during the day, as during the night. At least one per hour which will wake you up every time. Many muskieto. Not ideal with a dog.

Went through the border around 13:00 on Easter Friday. Not too busy, only took long to pay the road duties because everyone had to stand in the same line as the truckers. All in all took just over an hour to get from SA into Botswana

It was a great place to stay. A lot of people and a lot of cars. A bit noisy but there’s a good place for dogs to pee and there’s restrooms and vending machines. Overall I felt safe. It’s better to get here early-ish. We got there at around 8:30-9pm and there were still a lot of spots but they filled up quick. I recommend this rest stop. Legal and easy.

100m there is a restaurant la taberna d'olbek, good food/beers.
The owner is very kind and an interesting person, nice to chat with him.

Came here for lunch. Nice place with a lot of space but I would not sleep here as it is the main place with many restaurants and food trucks (which means many people who come around)
