Really loud I ended up Leaving around 9:30pm. Lots of road noise and people racing down the road. Really nice gym with great showers but don’t recommend sleeping there

Nice location… can be a little hard to find if it’s your first time in Loreto. From Miguel Hidalgo you’ll have to drive down a “pedestrian only” street to access the entrance - not a big deal unless there’s a cruise ship in town. If there is you’ll have to push through the crowd.

They have a washing machine on site for $70/ load. There’s also a nice dish washing station and water at some of the spots.

On weekend and holidays there’s a lot of loud-ish foot traffic but that dies down around 1 am at the latest. If you’re a light sleeper look for a spot along the back wall.

Lock up your belongings, especially at night. When we were here most recently a couple of campers had a good amount of miscellaneous gear stolen over night. We also saw a group of teens leaning over the fence checking out some of the unoccupied sites in broad daylight. In almost four months touring Mexico it’s the first in-camp theft we’ve heard of…

If you really want to be in the heart of the more touristy part of Loreto it’s a great option. But understand that this is in a busy area and that the campground isn’t that well separated from the public - as I’m writing this a chest high wood fence separates me from a group of about 8 middle school aged boys and two kids that are probably in grade school - pounding beers. But to be fair it is
Semana Santa.

Also no fuel (petrol). Closest gas North is Terrace Bay (usually), South we were able to get some at the Cape Cross Lodge. They usually have Diesel, but only limited gas.

Along a bumpy road past a power plant which may turn you off. Continue to the secluded end of the road. We were alone staying for the night. Early visitors coming to just to look or walk the trails. Great trail to the light house. Beautiful black sand. At this time of year fresh water creek for wash up.

official prices are
- 800 per boat up to 5 people (about 20mn to reach the island)
- 200 pp for "community" service
- 200 pp for the museum

we liked the 2 big trees we were park under so much that we stayed to spend the night. at first the kids were a bit annoying (insistant "give me") but then they shared an activity with our own kids (making bends necklaces) and they were very nice !

room at 5000CFA in modest Motel. Great because in the center of town. The rooms are very modest and the shower is with the bucket.
It’s okay if you only want to stay for one night.

As described. Nice spot in the trees. There are 2 other vehicles up here on the Friday of a busy Easter weekend. We were able to find a few choices for level spots.

We stayed here for 1 night and really enjoyed it. 5 Dinar pet person to camp and includes a very good breakfast. If you want to camp and have dinner at the restaurant it is 12 Dinar per person. And if you get a cabin which includes dinner and breakfast then it's 20 Dinar per person. Pet friendly for camping, not sure about the cabins.

Many other vans, busses, motirhomes, and campers. if you are gonna stay when it is supposed to snow I reccomend checking with the manager to see where they want you to park because of snow removal.

IMPORTANT!! This place is only accessible both ways ( heading south and North ) but can only head South when you leave. To head north is a 120 km detour and tole fees... unless you go backwards on the off ramp!
Slept ok here with earplugs, free toilets.

Long stretch of 35th Ave right next to the police department with no signs limiting parking. Back fences of houses on the other side of the street providing privacy and discretion. Safe neighborhood. Plenty of room for all vehicle sizes. Park on the wooded side of the street, not the side with homes.

Not possible to stay overnight here anymore. Instead of only piles of sand to block the entrance to the camping spots aside the road, now they on top added tires, to show this is private property. People were there with their animals, looked at us while turning back, but were not welcoming.

nice place in a canyon. I think previous poster is confused on currency exchange 30 pesos is about 27 cents. we paid 4.75 usd per person or 500 pesos for 2 of us and the truck. it's got all you need to enjoy a nice bit of camping. they have firewood and charcoal you can buy. the restrooms look like the worst gas station bathroom you have ever seen but its camping right? just wear your flip flops in the shower. we would return as the canyon is awesome.

Great spot with friendly quiet neighbors. There's a large flat circular parking area where various vans and RVs were assembled.
