15 mins from Castle creek. Several fire rings in a wooded setting
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Several camping spots at this pull out with fire pits. The back of the area has a very nice view over the canyon.
Report Check-InLovely. If not for the one guy who set up camp right at the entrance, blocking the access to the other 20 or so sites. We drove through his camp....to the very end of the road: best campsite with a view, ever! Keep in mind that this is NF land and you will need a self contained toilet system or wag bags! No pooping in the wood here ( hefty fine if the rangers catch you!- same for the dogs....).
Report Check-InAs described. Nice spot in the trees. There are 2 other vehicles up here on the Friday of a busy Easter weekend. We were able to find a few choices for level spots.
Report Check-InLovely little dispersed camping spot amongst junipers. No view but 2 bars of cell service.
Report Check-InRabbit Warren of camp spots, just off the road. Large rock scattered road—explains the mini castle fire rings? Trees, plants have been cut by users, as well as full size plants uprooted. Minor trash about. Driving in on 128 most of the areas are closed to camping, this is not marked “no camping.” Looks like six miles before here is also camping allowed.
Report Check-InSeveral camp areas with fire rings. Some of the spaces are a bit small for my 20’ van. Also we could not find a level spot. Suggest bringing leveling equipment.
It was nice and quiet. A few other people were also staying.
