Canyon Campsite "Los Cauquenes" | Established Campground

Spent a night here yesterday. Very, very beautiful location, so far the nicest campsite we've had in South America. Camping under eucalypt trees next to a small river. Since it's inside a canyon, then very different air temperatures in the night and day can create super strong winds. We were worried about our rooftop tent, if it will stay on the roof until the morning or no, park wisely. Kind of hidden and also safe I would say. Owner super friendly. 1000 pp

Shady campground by a river. Owner very friendly. Paid 700 PP, nothing for our truck. Bathrooms are dirty, shower was warm.

nice place in a canyon. I think previous poster is confused on currency exchange 30 pesos is about 27 cents. we paid 4.75 usd per person or 500 pesos for 2 of us and the truck. it's got all you need to enjoy a nice bit of camping. they have firewood and charcoal you can buy. the restrooms look like the worst gas station bathroom you have ever seen but its camping right? just wear your flip flops in the shower. we would return as the canyon is awesome.

Simple campground with showers and toilets, hot water but only very limited time before it gets cold. Toilets are clean. The owner is really friendly, and some cute small dogs around. We arrived late and left early and were charged 100pp, no cost for the van.

Beautiful, quiet spot right by a flowing river that comes from the reservoir. Lovely peaceful place to camp, with a nice walk to see the dam and reservoir. There is no rubbish here - it’s clean, the owner is very friendly - the facilities are basic but the water was warm even when it hadn’t been “switched on”. The price is now $150pp - it’s probably gone up because of inflation and he seems to be doing some renovations. We had no problem paying that. Highly recommended.

It could be such a nice place (and the surrounding is nice of course!). But i cannot understand that trash is laying next to the trashcan instead of inside. And that the simple bathroom, which might be ok for the price, is full of spiderwebs (and you as well when you were inside, so we didn't try if showers are hot or not). Two things which could be improved easily, as well as you walk along the trash every minute. Price still 50 Pesos per person.

Quiet, clean, peacefull, friendly. 50 Peso/person with hot shower. We came for one night and stayed three.

There's a sign by the road: Camping Los Cauquenes. Beautiful, quiet and a hot shower if you ask father or son. They have to light the wood fire so it takes a bit of time. The 3 little monsters respond well to the dog beeper (Dazzer). 50 pesos a person.

Yes, a very nice place beside a small river and good spot to relax, embedded in a small canyon gap. Facilities are simple but o.k. The road is some times only 3,50m wide, but no problem there is not much traffic. !!! keep your shoes inside, or the "friendly" dogs will eat them !!!

60 pesos for the two of us and our van. Nice little campsite and a friendly owner. Quite comfortable. There is another campsite slightly to the east, which might be free in the off season...

Nice spot on a small river. Quiet, Electricity, Fireplace, Toilets, cold Shower, shadow, Wind Protection. This place is very beautiful and special. 30 Pesos for my and 4x4 together.
