Beautiful-extremely quiet. Only heard one ATV in 2 days. This place also has wild Burros that date back 100 years during gold mining days. They leave you alone and so cool to see a few. Amazing mountains.

Beautiful views. Good wide dirt road. Lots of spots to pull into far from other campers.

Little market with a decent stock.
Liquor, beer, empanadas, processed snacks and canned good options.
Check the expiration dates before you buy, though. Almost grabbed cereal that expired back in March 2022. Only a year ago.

Food and drinks were incredible (if you've got the cash flow, order a margarita con tequila cien por ciento de agave... They'll give you the good stuff from Jalisco in the beautiful margarita glass that it deserves instead of a plastic cup).

Such a fast and efficient service that I didn't even have the time to take a picture of the place. Nice fellow and good service.

it's a very small area that has been converted into a campsite. I am staying here tonight. Tents are almost next to each other , it's less than a minute walk to lake and food trucks. There is some event going on next to Lake , so lot of music and traffic outside today. Site is clean, owner is a fun guy ...tents only..I came by bike. Hot showers and small cooking area, few benches to sit...very basic but secure, clean , surroundings are good for walking around lake

Nice park on the water with plenty of shade, very nice water fountain with a jug filling spout and threaded spigot. A big sink with three faucets you can wash dishes or clothes in. Bathrooms were fairly clean too and had toilet paper.

Stopped here for a second time, this time going up North. Charge was 200 per person without hook ups. I like this place better than La Pila, but it's more expensive (La Pila asked 280). It's a stopover place going either North or South and it's convenient. No issues with Starlink, plenty of open sky to the North.

Quality and cheap place.

Alejandro fixed our crack in the windshield in 15 minutes. Efficient and cheap.

We paid 3000 ARS, it was his 13.274th car 💪

His number is 0294515691991.

Stayed here for 3 nights I parked the farthest from the building. Saw other people sleeping in cars, vans, and a small RV. Lots of food and shopping close by. Red Rock Canyon a few miles down the road. No issues - pretty quite at night!

Highly recommend

In date of today, there's a large orange cone over the spigot I presume, because there's no spigot to be seen next to the air station. Didn't bother to ask, maybe we can just ask and they allow to use it...

The little shopping plaza has signs against overnight parking. It's cool that people are getting away with it, but I wouldn't be able to get to sleep with those signs starting at me

We spent two quiet nights there. A good spot to sleep if you don't want to stay in the city of San Martin but don't go too far away from it !

Small rustic campground with wonderful hosts Duke and Sharon. We found this campground after stopping by the very busy / no vacancy Gilbert Ray campground and the check-in office gave us an info sheet of nearby campgrounds.

Tucson Snowbird Nest has 5-stars on Google and our experience was wonderful too. We called and checked on availability and had a spot. We enjoyed it so much we stayed another night. Quiet space with flush toilets, showers, potable water. Good cel service on Verizon. And loved the lemons Duke shared with us! Definitely recommend and will stay again when we are in the area.

Informal place to stay, you see a few other Motorhomes at the beach.
Be sure to check the tide tables before you park, the water rises and lowers A LOT, you don't want to be floating by morning.
We arrived at night and stayed right at the "tip" of the punta, there was nobody there, but by morning many cars arrived with people who came to enjoy the beach.
Very nice experience with the beach! It's a great place to stay overnight if you are on a self-sufficient vehicle.

Great spot on BLM with few cows. I think it's actually owned by coyotes as they came on a bunch on my second night there at 4am and started screaaaaming and making a bunch of sounds. Kind of spooky but they left after a couple minutes. Might've been because of my dog too, but I was safe in my car anyhow.
Great scenery all around and free roaming cows. Close to the highway so you can hear cars faraway but nothing like in a rest area. Went with a SUV and would'nt go with a normal car.

Beautiful visitor center located just off I81. Thought I’d take a chance and asked if they allow overnight parking and they absolutely do. They even fill in a form with your vehicle information ti fax to local police so you don’t get bothered by them. Lovely walking path leads down to old log cabins, picnic tables, and garbage cans. Building is open (with restrooms) 9am to 5pm. Quieter than Cracker Barrel and the Walmart across the way doesn’t allow overnight. Extremely friendly and helpful. Only con…parking spaces aren’t completely level…i just parked so the head of my bed was on the higher side 😊

Established campsite with fire ring off of Kelso Road opposite the dune field. Nice hike to the top of the tallest dune, about 3.5 miles round trip. Entry permit to Mojave National Preserve required (NPS). Pit toilets about 200 yards up the road at the parking area.
