Super quiet location in front of the pier. There is faucet and public toilet installed. We spent 2 days and 1 night super quiet, quiet place, friendly neighborhood.

Spent the night for free in the parking lot, super quiet. In the morning we visited the ruins (70 pesos pp entrance fee). Super friendly and knowledgeable security guard. We were the only one on the site during our visit

This information is incorrect. The correct coordinates are roughly (34.2409035, -93.2072085), nearly 40 minutes(!) from the post. Very disappointing when you’re hunting for a spot late at night.

Patagonia Elements offers a range of outdoor activities like rafting, canyoning and kayaking among other things. Their office is just off the main square. Excellent experienced guides who are bilingual. Super fun and professional.

We paid 70,000clp pp for an afternoon of rafting (1.5hrs on the water) with thorough training, transport, snacks and equipment. It was so well done, a real highlight of our entire trip. Our guides were Carlos and Bea, and would definitely recommend.

We paid 3,500clp pp to just use the showers at the El Camping campsite. Clean and the water was warm/hot with good pressure. Maybe 4 showers each with own lockable door. Just lacking a shower curtain within so some water on the floor, but not a big deal.

Very good restaurant, quiet and cool near a market. Easy to park near and safe. She ´s very nice and she serves generous plates for cheaper 500 to 700 fcfa.

There is a free water tap at Pemex with good parking possibilities. Water looks clean and good

Great place to visit the city from if you are in a larger rig and don't want to drive too much in the city. We are in a full size truck camper. Easy access off the highways running through town. Very mellow area, quiet at night, and some walking around for the dog. No facilities nearby so need to be self contained. Would definitely use it again to visit the city.

Private small house (bedroom, living room, bathroom). Perfect for two, can accommodate up to 5 with matress and a couch).

Very nice family and neighborhood. We could store our bicycles in a garage. Will fit small car and motorcycle. Big rigs on the very quiet street.

for $10.000 COP/ person, this is the BEST stop in all Palomino... just in the middle way between the beach/river and the city center where you can find lots os market options, restaurants, etc...

Smooth entry from Cameroon. At first booth they asked for 4000 cfa but we didn't pay. Issued passavant without any problem (although only for 15 days). Yellow fever vaccination checked. All took us maybe 30 minutes.

UPDATE to last post. Spent a nice quiet night. Went kayaking this am. Someone left alot of tp in the trees...we were going to glove up and take care of it but a truck came along with a big trash bag and cleaned it up. We thanked them and gave them some money. Why do people do that? No other campers besides our 2 rigs. Friendly locals walking dogs.

It’s not a wild camping if you have to pay - 70 q!!!!!!

This is a nice rest area, set below the highway on the bank of the Colorado River in the heart of Glenwood Canyon. Highway noise, but otherwise peaceful. Felt very safe sleeping here. There’s a paved bike path along the river and this is also the trailhead of the Grizzly Creek hike. Restroom block & the usual rest area amenities. AT&T signal at 2 bars.

Cute and clean pet friendly hotel. Nice area, easy to walk around and enjoy the city. Nice grass area for doggie business at the church across the street. We paid $60 USD for one night.

Now 10 Bs per liter and is required have to code.

Nice and calm campsite, literally on the beach. Very calm and a apparently a choice for a lot of long term campers.
There are few people trying to SE snorkeling, or fish, or massage, or whatever, but it's not that bad.
The price is 700 tsh ppn.
Ablutions are not bad, but definitely could use some improvement.
There's a bar and a restaurant with WiFi, not sure if it is that good.
Airtel signal it is ver vulnerable.

Well here is a fun backwoods place if you like digging for crystals. It’s some piles mined from making a pond years ago surrounded by cow pastures. It cost $100/day to dig in the piles and you keep what you find. $25 to dry camp overnight. She dug and I sat by the camper! This place is owned by a nice old couple and you won’t feel better spending a hundred bucks with them anywhere else in Florida if you are a rock hound! The place looks a little dumpy but no worries a good safe place. Plenty of room to get in with a motorhome and trailer. The lady seems to like texting the most for directions and getting into the gate. There is an old horse in the pasture walking around and eating grass! This is just a run down old building site with piles of Sandy shell stuff to dig through. No amenities or anything! Very clean. Prices as described. Attendant on duty can provide change.
Also, there is a dedicated washer for pet bedding, etc.

it's about 20+ min drive out of Sutherland.
you can't go up to the telescope with out a tour ..!

Gate locked, no one there. Seems closed for long term.
Restaurant down the road closed, too. No one there to ask, what a pity!

Definitely one of the most incredible beaches we visited in Costa Rica. Free public parking, during day done visitors, only few in night. Shady trees and clear water make this a perfect spot for camping and swimming.

Highly recommended!
