At least 3 drinking water stations and the one in front of the restrooms has a water spigot on the side with garden hose attachment.

Red flag. Sad to say we also had a terrible experience with Anatolia overland. We hired them as a company to help us translate and talk with mechanics in the area. They took. 20% fee on the final bill ..
our bill made no sense and we were charged an extreme amount of money for parts that were not even installed on the car sadly . We had heard good things about emre and his team but those people had dealt with him many years ago. He would defiantly help you in a pinch to find a location to fix your car etc. but we wouldn’t recommend his services. When we received the final bill and tried to ask him questions about it and have him explain it he claimed he knew nothing about cars and couldn’t help us with that!? Yet when we first spoke with him he said he’s been doing this for 10 years?? We’re not the type of people to speak badly of people but when we asked him “ don’t you feel you want to help the overlanding community ?” He replied “ I don’t care about those instagram accounts and YouTuber channels. . “

Nice hotel. 40.000 for double room and basic breakfast (for only one person). Great walk to the top of the mountain just in front of the hotel.

At this point, there is another wall to prevent tourist to drive to the Edge of the World. It's difficult to surround it, even with 4x4. We didn't do it with our Toyota Hilux.

It doesn’t work anymore, useless to go there if you don’t have the phone number of an Indian citizen so they receive the OTP (code) for you. The staff now has their phone numbers registered with the company and cannot get the code on your behalf.

Small parking lot near a museum and walking trails. Only room for a few vehicles, might be challenging for anything bigger than a van.

There are a few toilets near the lot - outhouse style with a faucet but no water for hand washing.

No signs saying anything against overnight parking, but I don’t recommend more than a single night stopover. Another vehicle pulled up in the lot around midnight, but otherwise things were empty. We didn’t have any exchange, since they seemed to be getting ready for the night here (or taking their own extended break from driving in the fog).

If you stay here, they have a list of local businesses that sponsor them. Seems polite to check them out the next day.

Access is tough: you’ll need a high clearance Land Rover to get there because of high rocks and deep holes on the road up.
Leave the maps me road for a forest road and after 100m you are here.

But once you get there you’ll be completely hidden between trees, good Airtel connexion, plenty of firewood.

Not totally level tough, so if it’s not your thing then try another spot.

Tolbos Trading is another Karoo gem...the village of De Rust is very quaint and a excellent coffee/lunch spot is the Tolbos trading. pick up homemade Rusks made on premises together with pies, salads etc. coffee was excellent...You'll love catting to Charles and Hannah.

Spoke with the valet supervisor and he told us that because we were a truck camper unit we classify as just a truck and could park anywhere in the parking lot without a parking pass. Parked in the second lot, security made hourly rounds all night. Great spot.

Location at the end of a track. Close to a pretty villa which is rented in season. The caretaker, very kind, told us that there was no problem staying, facing the beach. stayed two nights with only the sound of the waves. Possibility of other locations on the beach for 4WD vehicles.

Quiet flat spot with beautiful views overlooking the river near the dam with the mountains in the background. It’s a gravel pullout off of another gravel road. Horses, cows, and pigs down below at the river, which you can easily walk down to from the spot. A farmer from across the way stopped by to chat and told us it was fine to camp in this spot. Otherwise, we didn’t see anyone else. Enjoy!

Looks like Planet Fitness is undergoing a major renovation. Doesn’t look open, no one in the parking lot.

Clean place with large courtyard for parking. The rooms are well kept and have showers w/ hot water, ceiling fan and AC(when they have power). Electricity comes on at 6pm for light and fan, however AC is not available until around 10pm. We gave them some money to start the AC generator early at 6pm. Access to this hotel is convenient right in the highway coming into town.

Secluded, shaded parking on a dead end street. It was quiet and peaceful. There’s a business at the end of this road called Sunbelt Landscaping. Staff started arriving and leaving between 6:00 and 7:00. No one disturbed us.

This is a new spot for Overlanders to stay near Bogotá, it's located about 20 minutes from the outskirts of Bogotá, on the hay farm of Julio and his mother.

At the end of a little road, past several greenhouses and horse pastures you'll find a sign "Zarzamora". Across the field and to the right you'll find thier newly built home with plenty of parking nearby. Should be no problem for any rig, big or small.

He has hopes of expanding facilities in the near future, to have a dedicated Bathroom and shower for campers, but during our stay we were welcomed to use thier large, modern bathroom and shower, and sit at the large dining table for home made Arepas and Hot Chocolate.

Julio and his mom are very warm and welcoming and eager to help find whatever you need. We enjoyed a walking tour around the farm and the FREE Calla Lily.

It is probably best to contact Julio by WhatsApp before you arrive so he can arrange to meet you at the gate.

Absolutely wonderful place. River, trees, rather flat spot, space for everyone and NO trash! ENJOY!

Very friendly staff. They have a Diesel card and let us fuel up for the regular price of 6000 Rial per Liter.
They said it is Euro Diesel and modern trucks are fuel up there as well.

The place is okay. I did not stay there, only visited to check it out. The rooms are basic and the showers and AC were not working properly at the time. The hotel access is difficult, driving on a rough road very small like a walking path that is sandy in some places. It’s a good option if JP (on the highway) is not available.
