Yerba Pajarito Mate factory & museum | Tourist Attraction

We can recommend the tour, it was great. We got it in English, 10.000p.P. Make your appointment ahead, as described in previous comment.

The visit of this mate factory isn’t free anymore. You can choose for the whole tour, 15.000 PYG or part of it, 10.000 PYG. They showed us the museum, a movie and the factory (whole tour). The visit of the factory means mainly the packing department, which is still a lot of manual work. We got a very good explanation about the company, the history, the growth and processing of mate ... until packed. At the end we got a present, worth the entrance price. During weekends the tour is different. Reservations necessary by phone: 0981 259659. We didn’t know about the reservation, arrived in the afternoon, they proposed us a tour for the next day.

It was only a museum tour for us, no visit to the factory, as you have to book ahead apparently by giving them a call. We got to know the history of the industry and the girl, who did the tour, was very nice. We also got two samples of their mate products after the tour.

Unluckily they have a lot of vacations right now, so no tour available. They still showed us the film (Spanish, English or German) and guided us through the little museum. We even got to taste some mate. Very friendly and welcoming.

Enjoyable free tour of the production of Yerba Mate. We got the tour in English. Lovely staff! Got a free sample too. Recommend it!

Our tour was really disapointing. It was a speedy tour of the factory, like 10 minutes and then another 10 minutes of terrible, 20 years old video.
It is free of charge, but we feel it was not even worth driving there.
The tours can be in spanish, english and german.

Nice Place to get some infos about Mate and it's background. The walk through the production was great. We got the tour I german!

An incredible visit. The lady guide was lovely and very professional. We visited the whole factory and we heard some really good legends/myths about terere. Now we know the secret about mate! Not to be missed!!

This was a fun stop for us. A free tour of the facility, short video about the history of the factory, a lesson in how to prepare Yerba mate, and free samples of the beverage and leaves to take with you. It's open in the morning and again in the afternoon with a break from about 11 to 2. There's also a Selecta facility tour on the other end of town which seems might have better scenery.

really worthwhile stop for an hour or so. tour of factory and a very well presented museum of the history of the product and the family firm. Some of the staff speak English. we really enjoyed this & recommend it.
