10 pull through sites, all with water and electricity hookups. Possibly separate unserviced area. Nicely treed. Beside sports fields. Exceptionally clean bathrooms. 30 CAD. Maybe less for no hookups? Self registration.

All services in the town - a short walk.

Large parking lot and a really nice park with picnic tables/ great views and a place to watch the tides! There are washrooms open from 9-5 and recycling, garbage, and compost bins. We were 8 campers but plenty of room for everyone. Quiet night.

I would highly recommend staying here! We swam in the river, 3 “swimming ponds”. Very friendly locals. Quiet! No one bugged us for staying the night! Washrooms were very clean! Seriously beautiful.

Nice rest area for truckers and overniters. Trucks park near the highway so block lots of noise. Great place to cook dinner in picnic shelter. Nice clean washrooms

We stayed at this spot for one night. It was nice and quiet, but no fire ring or any particularly special view. But for a night it was just fine :)

A lot of tent sites directly at the water, most of them partly on flat rocks. Ferries go by very close every 30min and are quite loud, traffic stops only during the night. 20CAD per night.

Parking lot behind Main Street that you have to pay for until 8pm. It’s free from 8pm til 10am and allows overnight stays in the off season - April til November. I stayed there on a Wednesday night and one of the local breweries nearby- Broken Compass - has a trivia night on Wednesday. Check it out if you’re there on that day of the week! Great Verizon service in the parking lot.

Great spot. Beautiful views of the lake and mountains to the west. Nice breeze kept the bugs down. Clean site/bathrooms. Garbage bins. 3 level spots with picnic benches - all would have accommodated our truckhouse. Very civilized and free. Would definitely stay here again.

The owner is a very nice person. He charged us 20 bolivianos to spend the night. Includes bathrooms, showers with plenty of water and kitchen. It has power next to the parking lot.

Nice picknick area right next to the river. Crystal clear water. It ist right next to the road but not much traffic at night. Some trash, but still ok for one night. No amenities, no 4wd needed, level and shady.

Beautiful, clean, free site. We saw orcas from the beach west of the campground, though only for a brief moment. No thrashcans, take out your thrash.

Best town to stay the night to (re-)acclimatise coming from Puerto Maldonado, since Juliaca is at 3800m. Driving into town there is a parking (cochera). Seems like the best place to stay the night, but the woman attending wouldn't let us.
The location of this wild camp was outside of town. I changed it to this spot. It's a triangle between two roads with cars and trucks parked there. Town security told us it's the safest because there is a camera hanging above it. A friendly man also told us it's safe. Had a surprisingly quiet night, no barking dogs and barely any traffic. Trucks started driving by again from 6am.

Good spot for the night, far away enough from the downtown area to be quiet but still within a good walking distance. Tented and had plenty of space to set up, wasn’t very busy. One shower in the woman’s was free to use so that was handy but tried to plug phone into all six of the power outlets in the bathroom and none seemed to be working. Was $10 for the night which when considering the space, facilities and location it was a great price - would stay here again.

31$place, firepermit 9,25$+tax, self reg., first in first serve, check out 2pm, only a few places have sea view (best 37), we got the last in the row 48, not Level, ok for big rigs, lots of trees everywhere so you can see only forest and not the nice sunrise and sunset

$3 for a VERY hot shower. The showers are open/communal but the women's does have 3 private cubicles. They weren't that clean, but it was the end of the day and only $3, so can't complain. The staff were lovely!

Lovely campsite in a lush green garden in the middle of the dry bush, a little oasis not to be missed on your way north. Clean quaint ablutions and super hosts Patrick and Hercules have promised us freshly baked bread with bacon and cheese! Electricity at site.

Ferry was 10.000 CFA for a 4x4 after hard negotiations (originally asked for 40.000 CFA) warning: corrupt military post on Conakry site. Wanted bribes for nothing! Did not pay and blocked the road while having lunch :))

We have stayed with Harry and Gee 3 times in the last month as we bounced around Zambia and each time the welcome and hospitality has been exceptional. The sire and house are beautiful with a lovely swimming pool, green lawns and beautiful clean, hot showers and toilets. A laundry with washing machine is available to use. Harry and Gee invite the guests to join them for communal dinner around a large table set out under the stars. Gee cooks the most delicious food and the evenings atr full of interesting chatter and laughter. There is also an honesty bar. During our stays we met many of our overlanding 'friends" from Instagram and it was so good to connect in person. if there is a correct formula for running a campsite and lodge Harry and Gee have found it!!!
