Finger Lakes NF | Wild Camping

There is a u shaped pull off that is perfect for all different types of rigs. This spot is actually 2 spots with 2 different fire pits- one at each entrance. We noticed as the week went on people kept parking in the middle leaving no to little room for others. There’s only 4 spots in this National Forest in this area so being conscious of this is extremely kind to other travelers. All trailheads are marked as no camping. AT&T & Verizon service barely worked here but there’s good service in town. There is also some awesome trails here & you’re 15 minutes from Watkins Glen. Highly recommend this stay!

A few good pull offs to camp in. Fire rings usually. Dirt roads aren’t horrible and it’s pitch black and silent. Trails nearby definitely would stay again and again

Really nice place in the woods. Quiet, lot of space. There were some other people camping.

We found the spot easy. little uneven but okay. fire ring and a bit cellohone service. apparantly its the only national forrest in new york.

Very nice quiet spot with a little bit of cell service. Access was very easy with my 2wd van even though it had been raining pretty heavily all day.

Was able to get my 40’ 5th wheel into this spot. Verizon internet was acceptable.

Very nice spot fairly close to attractions. Just be careful how you get into this spot. We went up a steep hill that required 4wd.
