Ferry crossing - border Foulamory | Customs and Immigration

Guinea to Guinea Bissau
Arrived late due to terrible conditions from Boke (border closes 6pm) at Foula Mori and the Guinean border guards were amazing. Organised food and mattresses on floor for us, kept our passports so that we were first in line in the morning. Cost was minimal. Even managed to help us find a few beers to drink under the stars.
Ferry seems to wait for 2 vehicles before moving.
On the Guinea Bissau side things were a bit more tense. They were super keen for no photos (as many borders are). There are a few opportunities where they’ll ask for ‘tips’.

passport check on Bissau side easy and fast, pirogue across river 2000CFA (person + bicycle). Military post on Conakry side friendly and fast passport check.

Ferry was 10.000 CFA for a 4x4 after hard negotiations (originally asked for 40.000 CFA) warning: corrupt military post on Conakry site. Wanted bribes for nothing! Did not pay and blocked the road while having lunch :))

Ferry OK for a truck / approx.10'000CFA/ truck width 2.4 m / length 7 m / weight 8.5 t Certainly 10 t possible

Get your passports checked here and take the small hand driven ferry to the other side. Car is 6500cfa or 100.000gf. Motorcycle is 3.500cfa or 50.000gf. Negotiate before driving on the ferry maybe you’ll get a better price.
