This place is an experience you cannot miss if you pass this town. The owner is such a great character and restaurant itself something you wont forget soon. Food is pretty good as well. From the outside it does not look like a restaurant but there should be a sign outside with the name.

There are three campgrounds in this area. The Mollie B is closest to the boat launch area at the lake. The second and third campgrounds are further down / up the same road.

The third one - Little Mattie - is wooded and more secluded. It has only pit toilets, and I'm not sure the water faucets were working. Its also $26/night ($13 for senior pass holders), so not cheap, but was fine for a couple of nights while I fished the Fryingpan River.

Just a little bit down of Girevi you can find a place for your car. Nice surrounding with beatiful mountain view. The road to Girevi is ok but you need to cross several small rivers. Check how deep it is before you drive through.
No signal with MAGTI.

Nice flat area with a 360 degree view over the valleys and mountains. Can be windy I guess. This point is the beginning of the plateau, but there are other places further along the road with slightly more open view.

On the road from San Pedro to the Laguna Baltinache, take right at those coordinates: -22.949726, -68.401711. The road is not on Maps.me, but is clearly traced. It’s +-16km from the main road.

No 4x4 needed, but high clearance is necessary.

Indeed, a beautiful valley. For us, it was worth it to go further till the plateau and drive a bit there. The view is amazing.
If you have time and want to escape from the busy places, we recommend those extra kilometres.
We confirm: no 4x4 needed, but high clearance necessary.

This museum down a dirt road is a very worthy stop. One man has collected over 2,000 pieces of pre-Colombian artifacts from his property and the neighboring area. The collection is displayed according to the time period it was made as well as grouped by subject matter. An English-speaking guide walked me through the whole collection and shared fascinating history, local lore and facts. The cost per person at $8 is a great deal for what you get. A fascinating stop.

Basic but clean and secure. Nice location right on the beach. I think it's a better and safer option than camping by the road with all the truck noise.

Follow the road up to Cottonwood Lake, take a left when you get to the national Forest Sign. Large gravel area to pull into. 2 bars LTE w/ Verizon. Spot backs up to private property so be sure you make it all the way to the NF sign before you take a turn off.
Secluded, some shade and plenty of space!

Pantanal adventure on a small budget! We paid 40 real pp for camping, hot showers, electricity, pool and sink available. You can use their kayaks for free and enjoy a nice boat tour. Bird watching towers for the sunrise and forrest walking trails, you don't need to be accompanied by a guide. Prices are more than fair considering all the activities you can do by yourself without additional costs.

Vale Road is currently blocked off and closed for construction. Opening date TBD.
They are still allowing us to “camp” but in the Ramshead Lodge Parking Lot.
I see a port-o-potty, trash bins, and one stone fire pit.
There is a potable water spigot at the main entrance of this lodge.
Park against the trees on the west side and you can hear Roaring Brook. :)
Watch out for the Bears - I saw a big boy run across the road around dinner time.

This is the place to be when Vermont is going through the random 90 degree heat waves. This area is at least 10-15 degrees cooler than base.

Cyclist travelling north. I arrived in Salta city during the winter break period, so most everywhere was duly booked. Happened upon this hostel with vacancies and very reasonable prices. Bed in a shared room for AR$1300, including a small breakfast. Very basic amenities but clean and orderly. Kitchen with oven and fridge. Good WiFi. Hot showers. Secure place to store the bicycle. A little noisy with guests but I suspect this was due to the period in which I arrived, winter break. Breakfast was a hot beverage, one sweet pastry and a piece of bread with jam and dulce de leche. Not much of a breakfast but reasonable for the price. Staff were polite and helpful. Best to bring sleeping bag, because bedding was not really adequate for the cold temperatures at night.

Super nice place ! very impressive 155 000 for 2, same price for all adults and child or old people got reduction.
We had for our money, like path of Cruz and video and also a museum with an other video.

We spend 3h with taking our time with the audio guide (French, English, Spanish and german). Toursitic yes but with plenty of things to buy, eat etc...the same as us or Europe.
