Good place before going to Tusheti. Some locals are also there for picnic. Quiet at night. Some rubbish around. The place is actually a little bit further up north: 42.12863 45.42104

Easy access right off the highway, a little road noise but quiets down at night. Multiple access spots to the river and a little trail that goes right along it. One good flat spot for a tent, can fit a van but hard to find level ground to park it. Not a lot of wood to scavenge for a fire unless you go down the trail a little ways but lots of places along the highway selling firewood if you need it. A good amount of micro trash and some glass- leave it better than you found it! Good spot for a few nights

I'm not so sure this is BLM land, but it does seem to be usable for an overnight. this appears to be an occasionally active gravel pit. there was no equipment here when we stayed, but there are dozer tracks and you can tell where heavy equipment has dug into the hillside and berms. when you turn off Birdseye Rd onto the gravel drive you go up a slight incline, then it "Y's". the left opens up into a flat area that can handle about 3 large rigs. if you continue up the right side driveway, up the hill, it opens up to another flat area that can handle 1 big rig. someone has made a stone fire ring up there. from there there is a small, slightly overgrown road continuing up the hill. a van or truck camper should be able to go up there, but I wouldn't take a big rig.

Rather smallish sites with little privacy, close to the highway (which is quiet after dark). Water from a hand operated pump needs to be boiled before use. Pit toilets are clean. Remarkably few biting bugs. Paid CAN 20 for one site (max 6 people).

Flat area behind instrument station, opposite the rest area (no camping allowed).

Take the road to the right of instrument station, up little hill, and then flat spot to right hand side. Only 50 metres from road but road is quiet at night and nearby creek drowns out any road traffic.

PLEASE keep this site clean - don’t bury human waste within 200’ of water, pack out toilet paper and other trash, put your fire out cold.

Nice campsite above the river, but a bit dusty due to being right off the road.

Large gravel lot with some grass behind regular parking area. Next to a grassy sports field. We spent a nice quiet night here with one other van. Cops and security both drove by at least once that we saw. Thank you to the U of A for allowing us to spent a quiet night.

As described, but now part of the pull-out is filled with trash and there is no longer a fire ring. The spot was shockingly level so it was perfect for our camper van. Tons of mosquitoes! No Verizon but my AT&T phone worked just fine. Great little place for one night while exploring the area.

there are lots of NF campgrounds in the region. I stayed at the main campground (Big Rock) that's ten bucks per night. there are others along the fs 76 that's 5 bucks per night (pretty dispersed and 10 min drive probably from the first to the last one). cranberry river is just several dozen feet out so wonderful place.

What a wonderful place! Three miles off the highway and you're nestled in the mountains. $5 ($2.50 with pass). I stayed in the big turnaround just below the campground, which is really nice, but the campground is even more spectacular.

We camped just outside the Swiss' couple camping, a storm had just passed, and the electric fence couldn't open. We ended up not paying anything, normally it's 30000 per person. Think twice if it has just rained and you're not driving a 4x4. We managed but were sliding at some points. Saw some monkeys but very few birds, might have been due to the weather.

We spent 2 nights here while exploring Cody after Yellowstone NP. Not very sexy but convenient and we even went to the rodeo night by foot. There were a few vehicles but everyone was nice and quiet. The road is a bit rough but short and doable with our French 2 WD RV.

Wonderful placed campground for RVs and tents with super friendly operators; very clean bathrooms (no charge for (hot) shower use); washing machines available, no restaurant on the ground (as stated in a previous review), which supposedly closed about 3 years ago. Fire pits with most spots, wood can be gathered in the surrounding or being bought for $10.-; Tent rental space was $49.- (traveling on a motorbike with a tent)

Is a beautiful guesthouse, have all you need for a good time to enjoy and relax, the parking lot is big, the owners Mili and Andres very friendly. You have the opportunity to go horseback riding to nearby places and live with the great nature of the place, really recommended.

If you need a room with all the comforts, you also have it.
