Stayed halfway the road up, only one here. High clearance is definetely needed. Nice quiet spot, only some hikers passing by. There is also a spot more up the hill and on top with some amazing views.

Report Check-In

a local party spot. some glass, be careful. most cars can make it to this lower area.

Report Check-In

Ok location, hard to get a level spot if there are others parked already. Someone had a generator running constantly, through the night too. Not sure what they are doing but ruined my nights sleep.

Report Check-In

There’s places to park all the way up the road. There’s a couple loops near the bottom with room for several vehicles. The road up gets very rutted and rocky but you can make it in “less capable” vehicles if you’re confident and patient. There’s a cave higher up that requires a permit and key from the Cody BLM office. The cave is pretty intense so use an abundance of caution if you choose to explore. The views from here are impressive and you can see the entire town lit up at night.

Came by but too rainy. Gonna catch a motel. Gravel road but didn’t go too far up it.

We spent 2 nights here while exploring Cody after Yellowstone NP. Not very sexy but convenient and we even went to the rodeo night by foot. There were a few vehicles but everyone was nice and quiet. The road is a bit rough but short and doable with our French 2 WD RV.

Report Check-In

Space for 4 cars, relatively flat. Road noise is bearable.

Report Check-In

Quiet place to sleep. Other cars were in the main flat parking area, and I found my own quiet spot just before then. Further up the road it was too rocky for my sedan. I felt safe and nobody bothered me for the night. There are no amenities but there are touristy gas stations and restaurants about 5 minutes down the road.

Looks very popular. Somewhat level .4 mile off road main road. Several campers and tents. There were at least 7. Dog walker in the morning.

Great spot to boon dock. The road ends at the top with a gate and a spot to turn around. We took our side by side up. Bumpy in spots but a decent road. The view is amazing. We went up a little bit off the road to a second area to camp. Much better. We have dually truck with truck camper and pulling a 14’ trailer. If we didn’t have trailer, we would have went further up. Decent cell coverage (Verizon). Trail passes can be bought at 4 wheeler shop across from the rodeo ($15).

Really nice view, our car couldn’t make it to spot #2. Two other vehicles joined us last night. Everyone was friendly. Permanent fire ban at this spot. Felt very safe in a soft side tent.

Report Check-In

A little rough for a prius but i made it to a flat place on this wide lawn. Trail riding groups came through in the evening and early morning, and they sky all night was gorgeous. Significant road noise though, if that’s a concern.

Report Check-In

Stayed in the big field with a couple others right before the sign that says steep hill. DO NOT TRY THAT HILL UNLESS YOU KNOW FOR SURE YOU CAN MAKE IT. You will scrape, bottom out and get stuck if your clearance isn’t high enough, no matter how slow you go. The space on the other hand was alright for a night but could definitely find a nicer spot up the hill.

Report Check-In

Awesome location to sleep. There were four other vans in this location but there is plenty of space as it is a huge grassy lot. We didn’t continue up the hill but looks like it could be very sweet if you have a car that could handle it.

Report Check-In

stayed here 1 night with about 4 other Van's in the lower area. tried to keep going up the road but quite steep and rough for a dodge caravan. quiet sleep, few trail runners in the morning but no one bothered us.

Report Check-In

Definitely keep going up the road! There's a little cul de sac with a couple of fire pits (though at the base if the road there is a sign prohibiting fires). It's a nice little climbing base camp with a bouldering problem right there and a great view over the hill. It's very quiet and has spotty ATT LTE coverage. Don't worry about the smell as you're driving in, it goes away once you're at the site. The road headed up is pretty rough but a normal car should be able to get through.

Report Check-In

Good place, quiet, no noise
Un coin tranquille sur la route du Yellowstone, idéal pour une bonne nuit.

Report Check-In

Just keep going on the gravel road, you will find a really Nice place, good view and fire pit

Report Check-In

Good spot for the night. We felt save. Sherrif past us but didn’t say anything. 2 bars LTE AT&T reception.

Report Check-In

There is a big grassy area just above US Route 14 from Cody to Yellowstone. Turn to Spirit Mount. Rd. Reachable by normal can (probably not suitable for RVs though). There are no amenities, but considering how close to the route, its very quiet for a sleep. Further up to Yellowstone only camping in hard side units is allowed due to grizzlies so we felt relatively save and close to civilisation in a tent here.
