Huge gravel Parking lot, parking free from 5pm to 8am and no 'No Overnight Parking' Sign. Security service drove by but didn't talk to us, we were two campers. A student told us they won't say anything if it's just for a night and it doesn't look like a Walmart parking lot. Quiet at night! And a secret: you can receive wifi from the University, its to slow for uploading photos but good for checking emails....

Stayed the night in the parking lot in our van, no problem. We also had a $5 shower at the student recreation centre in the morning! We’re university folks, and the universal eduroam wireless was fast and accessible from almost everywhere.
Report Check-InLarge gravel lot with some grass behind regular parking area. Next to a grassy sports field. We spent a nice quiet night here with one other van. Cops and security both drove by at least once that we saw. Thank you to the U of A for allowing us to spent a quiet night.
Report Check-InGood relatively quiet place for an overnight. We’ve stayed here several times this June. Signs say permit parking only until 7pm and we’ve had security drive past us a number of times, cops a couple times and they haven’t said a thing. Verizon signal is great - 4 bars of LTE. Google Maps took us the long way around the first time too - you can instead turn off Farmers Loop Road right into the parking lot.
Report Check-InGoogle took me the long way round. The only huge gravel lot that is free for visitors between 5pm and 7am is at 64.85901, -174.81493. Will try it for a night...even though it says visitors...
