theblackpearl.van | Camp here. This is the spot. I got in there with a big ole 2WD sprinter van, but the road is dicey. There’s one camp site that is okay, but if you’re an excellent driver like me you can get down river side. Very private and comfortable for a night, super dog friendly. |

sophiegaspel | off of diamond fork road - the gate is open as of 05/30. area by the hot springs is pretty busy with day hikers, but only a few cars passed our site. pit toilets nearby. Nice dispersed campsite by the creek. the best part is the trail behind this site, which is located at the site directly across this one. cross the road and follow the trail by the creek into the hilly area behind - one of the most beautiful trails I’ve hiked. It seems to go on for miles but we stopped after finding some sort of animal carcass on the trail, probably a deer. |

birdbox-van.de | Big flat Area (compacted clay/gravel - might get a bit muddy in rain) with a boat launch. Enough space for big rigs. Only a few level spots. Just stay on the side, so you won’t block the ramp. Not very private, next to a road, but not much traffic. No signs for no overnight. Stayed here one night in a sprinter van, no problem. |

sust.andie | Hard to find at night but came across 395 and then I saw the forest sign a few minutes later. Turned in and drove down a bit but there were a lot of pot holes. About 10 minutes later a truck came from the back area... then a few minutes later a cop came. He was nice; I asked if I could camp for the night he said, it’s fine. Not too long after I saw the same truck come back into the forest and passed me. When I left around 630/7 am I saw a cop sitting about 200 ft from the entrance. Sand was soft where I parked. Please remember pack it in, pack it out. I saw some beer cans and other trash left behind but clean and quiet otherwise. On a clear night you can see the stars flicker all night. I even caught a shooting star. Would stay here again. |

hmunn7 | Delicious selection of summer lemonades, always full and available. Modestly busy location, but still many tables available. Electricity only in the farthest back section. Drive thru available. Napped in my car from 5p till 11p and was not told to move along, despite manager meeting the delivery truck at midnight. No evidence of No Overnight Parking signs. So, this is a restaurant with potential overnight options in a pinch. |

white.van_no.plan | We stayed here for our first night in Newfoundland coming off the ferry. Past the lighthouse you can drive down a rutted gravel road to a flat spot right by the water. It’s larger enough to fit 3-4 vans comfortably. However, the road down to the spot is fairly steep and pretty rutted. Our 2-wheel drive Promaster could probably make it if we kept one set of wheel to the edge of the road but we decided not to take the chance. The second spot is on top of the dirt hilltop before the lighthouse. There’s probably only a flat spot available for one van. Since there were high wind gusts of 45mph we decided not to stay in that spot. Instead we found a flat spot between tow gravel berms next to the information signs for the underwater cable and were able to avoid the winds. We were visited by some cautiously curious foxes during our stay. Several cars came up to the lighthouse and parked for a while then left so it might seem busy until dark. The lighthouse and artifacts museum were not open while we were there. No other campers were there during our night here. |

scottchrist3 | Parked on the other side of the street next to the baseball field complex. Parked around 8-9pm in a line of several cars - they all eventually left, but I had no issues. Left around 6am to hike Mount Leconte, which was about 40 minutes from this spot. |

viiduquette | Checked in 5/30/2022 at 1am. completely empty area. During my travels I've come to notice that trailheads seem to be a good place to camp for the night. Being memorial day, other places marked on this app had multiple vehicles already there. Much less road noise than the other ones that are off the side of I-80. A beautiful view of the stars right before the light pollution of Reno. However, this is directly along the train tracks, and a train does come through multiple times. It's not a long train, and better than hearing semis all night. There was a porta potty and hand wash station. Potty was locked though. Also, there's a sign pointing in the direction of the trailhead across the tracks, but another sign that says do not cross the tracks. I found it confusing and went over the tracks anyhow and that's clearly the trail. Pretty streams. |
