Perfect spot to spend the night, level parking, nice bathrooms and a beautiful view .

We stayed here for 2 nights and had to pay 250 lira per night. We don't need electricity. Very friendly owner and helpful. Free drinking water and dumping gray water. When we were there, a group trip with 10 campers arrived, so the parking lot was full. Short walk to town.

Excellent fish and seafood restaurant. Specially the clams are really delicious. Always fresh fish, you can choose your own fresh from the ice.

Unfortunately I agree with this Warning. We bought our ticket for the circuit around the Ausangate in Upis (20 SOL per adult, free for children). The first evening of our trek we settled at this point at the level of the huts. At nightfall when we slept a man landed and asked us for 15 SOL per person for the night and to continue the trek (community tax). He was told that we had already bought a ticket and that 15 SOL pp was exaggerated knowing that normally it is the price for a tent. There he started to get upset, raise the tone of his voice. Our children got scared and we chased him away (we were 4 adults). Just before at the level of the lagoon a young hiker alone was the victim of an attempt at sexual assault. The next day at the Laguna Ausangatecocha, an old woman and an old man asked us 15 SOL pp to continue the trek (community tax again), we ignored them and we continued on our way. The next 3 days, was excellent, nice landscapes, nice people! This trek is SO WONDERFUL! Just be aware of the potential inconvenients...

Basic campement to spend the night. Owner is friendly and offer you the Mauritanian tea. Toilets and shower are clean. We paid 500MRU for 2 and our van

Great spot for one night. I have stayed here before and have never had any issues. Be respectful and stealth as this is just a street along the beach in front of residencial homes/condos. You will have street noise as well as a lot of walkers/bikers. It is along a trail that wraps around the coast with easy access to a bike path and about 15min walk to downtown. I was able to park here and ride my bike to downtown for a bite to eat. Again, no problems with this spot and the view is just stunning!

We spent a night there. In front of the restaurant. They let us use the bathroom, very clean.
A bus full of people parked for an hour next to us in late evening so pretty noisy but the night was calm.

Plenty of space for 3 different units. Could hear a train in the far distance in the morning. Quiet and pretty sunset.

Lots of camping available spread out. Good Verizon signal. Target shooting takes place near the mountain and is very active. Occasional motorcycle driving by on the trail.

Can’t beat the price (free for 24 hours). Simple gravel lot; 50/30/15 amps; potable water available at the park but not at each site. Fenced dog park and play ground for the kiddos. Three other RVers shared this CG with us. Lots of room for more. A couple of sketchy locals roaming around during daylight hours; but seemed harmless. Train tracks are right here; but our AC drowned out the noise. At night, adequate lighting around the facility. Our only complaint was the petroleum smell from the nearby facilities. When the wind was active, this smell wasn’t too bad. But, once the wind died down, the stink infiltrated. Regardless, would stay here again.

Great campground with clean showers and toilets. Water and electricity at the community area. You pay 10$ per tent without hookups. Definitely a great place to stay if you’re in the area. Not too crowded either in May.

Fantastic place! Richard is super nice and a traveler himself. With the camper you can park in the fenced parking lot, use the toilet and warm shower. There are lots of different hiking trails through the cloud forest that are well signposted and you get a map with all the trails marked - you can walk them all yourself or with a guide. There are soooo many hummingbirds at the lodge and at 6am they feed the birds, we saw several mountain toucans and lots of other birds, even a quezal! A bit expensive at $10 per person/night, but in our opinion worth it for at least one night!

Very nice spot close to the bridge where the hike to Jizev starts. No sunset but a great sunrise. Some trees for shade. Very quiet. No Tcell

Brand new signs say no parking between 3am and 7am.

Free! Views are stunning! Breathtaking. Level spot. accessible with 2wd regular clearance. Right next to a road that is not frequently traveled. no cell service. super close to Goblin Park ($20 per car entry there and $5 per person shower pass if not camping).
