Flat BLM Land, no cell service and no amenities. Pulled in and slept quietly through the night. I did leave my motion sensor lights there by accident. 😞

Very nice place to stay, great views on the bay. We stayed here during a night with wind gusts of 70 km/h and didn't notice a thing because the trees to the north/north west offered the perfect shelter. The road is indeed quite firm, no problems with our 2wd camper, but maybe walk ahead to make sure after heavy rain.

Nice and quiet place. You do not have to pay any consumption to park here. Gentle staff. Bathrooms are excellent but no showers. There are few shadows.
Another night we stayed in a place called beautiful garden (or something garden where are cabins but we parked our car and pay a consumption...is beautiful, full of trees and good wifi...to get there is easy: in front of ivo's cafe (that is in ioverlander at the end of the street of D&D), there is a sort of drugstore where is leo...he can guide you...or easier is to drive from D&D to ivo's cafe and there turn right and in 50 meters you will find it).
If you go for kayak we recommend looking for a man call avelino who is so kind that you will love him...and he let you rent the kayak for 100 lp and return it after sunset (most rentals ask you to return kayak at 5 pm during the week).
Go to lake yojoa, rest, kayak, contemplate. The place is peaceful and people warm.

We visited here and continued to Samaipata. The road between Vallegrande and Mataral is perfectly paved. But the road between Mataral and Samaipata is not at all, pavement is completely damaged on most places, in between good pavement for short distances, but also bad gravel. Very dusty.

Very nice quiet spot with a little bit of cell service. Access was very easy with my 2wd van even though it had been raining pretty heavily all day.

Great place, we were happy to see it survived Covid! Had a sandwich, coffe (real one, not Nescafé), hot chocolate, and two peaces of cake, everything delicious!

Good description, otherwise hard to find. The first bit down is a bit steep, but we still managed with a 2W Van and muddy weather. If you drive till the end of the gravel road till the beach there are plenty of spots to stand. Top stop near Pucón! Recommended!

We did the Ché tour and parked at the main plaza, at the side of the church. No problem for big rigs at all! Did’t stay overnight because there was not much visa time left, we were in a hurry. But following to local people no problem to stay overnight there, very safe place.

The visitor Center was closed, because there are almost no tourists yet, due to the Covid pandemic. Someone of the Community Center called and a man came to open the Tourist Office. We booked the tour, still 40 BOB per person. Our guide arrived within minutes. We could choose, do the tour by walking or by car. We were so surprised, this was really a very interesting experience. The guide explained everything in Spanish, very slowly and patient to explain with different words if we didn’t understand a certain word. It was very easy to understand him, despite of our very limited knowledge of the language. He also understands basic English, just in case. Gonzalo Flores Guzman is an independent guide that also can organise other tours in the region. He can be contacted through facebook on his name, or Vallegrande Ruta del ‘’Che’’.

Stayed one night, was told by a consistent camper there that the sheriff will knock on your door if all of your wheels aren’t parked on the pavement, otherwise he will leave you alone. There’s a nice grassy area that I parked in, nice for the day but at night, pull onto the pavement

Some big gravel area next to Wadi Numeria Canyon entrance. A bit on the slope, but ok for a night and good to go to the canyon in the morning.

Also warm place, perfect not in summer, pleasant temperature at night, quiet (only sounds of donkeys and cocks around)

In theory, you can drive in the canyon, entrance is free, a lot of rubbish. Probably better with 4WD, but might me manageable even with 2wd.

24/7 gas station with quiet parking around the side. Little grass area behind some trees for animals to use the bathroom away from the public. Was quiet and didn’t get disturbed at all. Clean bathrooms inside as well.

Like already said, the parking lot slopes so it's hard to find a level spot. Next to railroad track; had 3 trains pass in the night; not near a crossing so no horns.

We camped before the cattle guard, numerous spots along there. Later saw the sing at the cattle guard, seems like officially you are to be past that guard. Doesn’t seem to be enforced as many look like they’ve been there for q long time. Area does need to be cleaned up.

Pretty spot. As described. You will be covered in dust by passing vehicles. We have found no place you can get off the road a bit to avoid this annoyance. Lots of birds. A Mexican Whip-poor-will woke us up at 5am right over head. Neat! We pamper our rig so we drove up in 4x4 low. Sometimes 4 high. Lots of sand pits hard to avoid.
No fires, no dogs allowed.
No cell reception.
40 MX pp entrance fee.

What I liked the most here is the camping area, it is huge, there is a small fenced area near the grills, but you can stay far away from them. Bathrooms are simple and clean. The owners are extremely friendly, and you can use the main kitchen. There is a stream surrounding the property, with small natural pools and small waterfalls. And there is the story of the pickaxe, but this one you will hear from the owner himself.
We pay 40 reais p/p/pn.

_____________

Pagamos 40 reais p/p/pn.
