We visited La Higuera and everything related to the history of "Ché" with a taxi driver who took us and acted as a tour guide for a very good price (250bs). The road is not good for Van unless you don't mind destroying it.
Gonzalo drove us around in his Corolla and really knows a lot about history, making key stops and giving us all the information about the place.
His contact phone number is +59160861121 and he can be found in the square in Valle Grande.

Awesome tour covering the central square historical museum, the hospital where Che was take, the initial graves and his museum. The guide didn’t speak any English, but with hand signals and our pigeon Spanish we were able to understand each over. Plus heaps of the displays have English written with the Spanish.

The visitor Center was closed, because there are almost no tourists yet, due to the Covid pandemic. Someone of the Community Center called and a man came to open the Tourist Office. We booked the tour, still 40 BOB per person. Our guide arrived within minutes. We could choose, do the tour by walking or by car. We were so surprised, this was really a very interesting experience. The guide explained everything in Spanish, very slowly and patient to explain with different words if we didn’t understand a certain word. It was very easy to understand him, despite of our very limited knowledge of the language. He also understands basic English, just in case. Gonzalo Flores Guzman is an independent guide that also can organise other tours in the region. He can be contacted through facebook on his name, or Vallegrande Ruta del ‘’Che’’. One of the three guides speaks excellent English. Her name is Maria. She has a very good knowledge of the guerilla history. We really enjoyed the tour.

A really interesting, enjoyable and worthwhile short tour. Guide only spoke Spanish but he speaks slowly and clearly so if your Spanish is weak, you may still get most of what he is saying. The museum by the tourist office has notes in English telling the Che story. 40 bob pp for the tour and 10 bob pp for the museum.
