Just across from the Elephant rock and bellow other rock formations. The security in the Elephant Rock pointed us this place to overnight. Nice and Quite, rare as we are here during Ramadan.

Very quiet night stayed here for 2 nights with no issues! Wish I knew how to gamble lol!

This place is about 10 minutes away from the city but its good to camp , the road is dusty but clear , nice view to the ocean and city , some people trekking and crossing in the day but still quiet at night

Neither one of the showers are working at the moment. Took 4 of my quarters.

There's a sign when you pull in indicating "no camping", and along the spaces there's "no overnight parking" signs posted. Didn't go into the semi area but might be the same, no other rigs there when we stopped.

Right off the highway, well lit, other cars parked here, lots of trucks parked here, garbage cans, picnic tables, and there is a visitor centre with heated washrooms, cafeteria area, vending machines, coffee machine, payphones; this is a fantastic and safe place to pull off and sleep.

Great place. The first part of the road up had the start of a good gully on the left side, but very passable still. A couple of other spots by the side of the road on the way up, but this one is nice and sheltered. 3 bars ATT LTE.

An inexpensive campsite with superb views within walking distance of the pubs in Dent. Quiet, informal and only £7pp regardless of what you're in. Don't expect fine facilities. There's waste disposal, toilets, showers but they're very basic. The owner is friendly and keeps the grass mown.

Nice quiet spot. Hot Springs were perfect. Few other people spent the night in the area.

Fantastic location. Gate and road as described by others. We didn't go all the way to the coordinates; found a spot about .2mi in. No road noise.

You can find a parallel gravel road next to RP43. This road seems to be completely washed out in the middle, but you can find a flat spot on the tagged location. It was a very windy night when we were there and unfortunately, there’s no wind protection. Partially visible from the RP43. Quiet night, so we were happy with this ‘it’s getting dark and we need to find a spot’ wild camp.

Yes, sells petrol and gas out of jerry cans, in 5 l increments, but highly overpriced and a little pushy.

The whole town gave me bad vibes, full of bars and people drinking on the streets, everyone standing very close around me and my truck, and everybody holding wooden sticks. I couldn't wait to get out. Gas came to N$ 32 /l (supposedly after a discount) while at a pump it sells for N$ 19.69/l, over 60% markup, compared to the 20% I'm used to from other places. Avoid if you can.

site was relatively clean. A good place to park off the highway. This is definitely a loud place to sleep, but seems safe. up to 3 nights of camping. Field next to spot was very smelly in the morning.

Nice attendant at gas station. Plenty of room for larger rigs. Good water pressure. I have not gotten sick (yet) drinking this water.

The back lot you park in IS directly behind a busy road, so there's a bit of noise throughoutthe night. The front area has a little shaded area behind tall bushes. nice to walk a dog. A few other overnight sleepers, which makes it feel a bit safer. 10/10 staff in the a.m are really friendly & love to chat about your travels!

We really enjoyed this spot bust for a day trip! We only noticed the concrete tub mentioned in previous reviews on our way out, but the two “cooler” pools. The lower pool was like bath water in the shallow areas. There is about 30 minutes of mixed road between here and the highway but google maps will take you right here! 100 MXN per person gets you a bracelet which gets you in to this area as well as two other Hot Springs (Santa Rita and another nearby). We didn’t use or even notice the toilets but it’s a wild spot and my recommendation would be to dig a deep hole ! Road conditions included moderate washboards and a few bad spots. There is a particularly sandy patch shortly after you turn left off of the first dirt road for about 300 meters. We made it through with 2 wheel drive and without airing down, but we were lucky because it was sandy and loose. The road is straight so get a bit of momentum and you should be fine, though might be worth airing down to be on the safe side. Camping $150 pesos/person, ninos are free! We had a great time !

Petit espace en pleine nature avec rond de pierre pour faire un feu. Pas vraiment à plat, cales utiles. On entend longuement les véhicules sur la route 12, mais très peu de circulation la nuit. Ok pour voiture van et petits VR. Manœuvrer pour faire faire demi tour n’est pas facile. Route en terre accessible avec un 2 roues motrices en ce moment (hors saison de pluie)

Very nice camp space with friendly owners. They’ve had a tough time during covid, but the place is still well maintained and ready for guests. Had a burger and chips for dinner which was delicious.

We took motorbike taxis up to the Mushroom Farm in the afternoon and had a drink there. Very cool experience and beautiful place to see.

Comfy lil place with some good ambiance, hot showers, and an enclosed parking lot big enough for any rig. 900 Pesos a night, plus a 200 deposit. There's a little poolside bar (the 'restaurant' I assume the previous commenter mentioned) but it was closed when I visited. Probably because I'm arriving in a bit of an off season.

Still the same. A few others sleeping here as well. Good.

Fantastic free camp spot, stayed here 2 nights with free street parking next to The Mansion with no issues. Visitors center across the street in the park has a bathroom 8am-6pm. Kroger 2 blocks away also has a bathroom 6am-11pm. Felt super safe, some traffic noise but nothing crazy. Easy Uber (10 mins) or 30 mins walking to downtown / River walk. Beautiful historic area!

Only for big rigs up to ~3.45m.
There is a sign over the entrance gate, so you can enter only if you are under ~3.45m high.

Full-service travel stop. For details check their website that can be found via a search on maps. Parking is free for 2 hours. Past that it’s a $25 ticket or tow or $25 worth of combined spent at anything there including the Burger King outside of the building. (There’s 4 or 5 Cracker Barrel’s in the Atlanta region you can stay at for free)

There’s a restaurant, showers($14) with lengthy wait time because it’s a busy place (one of the largest I’ve come across around the country) but very clean and nice staff, laundromat ($3 any load. Lots of household size washer and dryers), Verizon, barber, health supplement place, pool tables, few arcade games, massage chairs, outlets in plenty of spots. The general store part has normal truck stop supplies and electronics etc.

Road is Closed right at the split about 2 miles from the spot. Had to find somewhere else to sleep.
