Description

Lovely park 10 miles north of Santa Rosa NM coordinate not as shown here: follow the signs off the I 40. Great water way, clean, has BBQ, showers (cold in cold weather), dump station, elec. I had no signal with AT&T but Verizon fine. GoTalk plan was spotty. better service near the electric bathrooms.

Beautiful state park on the Santa Rosa lake just outside of the cute little town of Santa Rosa. Many campsites some with electricity most without. several trails and many other amenities, sick as fishing and a boat ramp. $10/night

There is Wi-Fi available for an additional fee. Check in time is 4 PM, checkout time is 2 PM.

Nice place to stay, good infrastructure. Decent cell service.

Beautiful area. First camping area on the right is for tents/equestrian, though some campers just parked at the dead end circle and called it a night. Potable water still running in this area.

We drove further up and found primitive camping on the right down by the lake, have to go past day use sites and up a dirt hill. No service here but also no one else around and quiet.

If you go straight signs listed campsites with power.

Report Check-In

Small area for dispersed - more for tents but potable water and dump station included in day use fee or camping fee. I took a hike on the shoreline trail and got water and dumped. Worth the $5

Report Check-In

Primitive area is really small, probably designed for tents, but since nobody was here, popped up the truck camper for the night. Nice and secluded, quiet, easy to get to.

Very busy but a nice older park. 3 separate campground options available.

Report Check-In

Easy hikes, great view of stars. January was COLD SHOWERS. I was warned by the host, her advice was to wait until mid-day to shower. Safe and quiet place to stay.

Report Check-In

Scrubby, scenic lake overlook, clean sites but few hookups. Inundated with ants so much that we couldn’t sit at the picnic table and put our feet in the ground. No generator sign not enforced and neighbor ran his constantly.

Report Check-In

Nice clean state park campground. Sites are far enough apart for privacy. Clean bathrooms.
