Very nice comfy rooms in a small hotel. If you have bikes you might want to be in the first floor (ground floor). We got there and got a room in the second floor and asked to bring the bikes up.

Wifi was pretty slow

Sandy and dusty Beach, this is the place where all buggy and quads vehicles came to play! It goes on the all day from 9am to sunrise! Not the quietest place to stay, ok for one night (if you don't mind all the dust)

Beautiful beaches and lovely trails. The fort is well worth a visit and the bird sanctuary is really interesting. The south entrance was the only open entrance on 20 Nov 2021 but you can easily move north within the park to camping areas A and B which seemed to be the only sections open. They were full on a Saturday night, mainly with tents but the place was still very quiet. Electricity and water are available to most sites. The bathroom situation is not good, indeed. Try to find a site near an open and operating bathroom before you settle as you will otherwise have a long walk. The fee for three days was 1080 pesos for two people and a camper. Very reasonable and worthwhile. We loved it and stayed for three days. No wifi but a good cell signal.

We didn't go all the way to the site. Ended up turning around due to swampy conditions and grown in trail. Could probably get there with a small truck 4x4. For reference, we drive a dually with bigfoot truck camper.

Secluded dispersed campsite. Lots of spaces. A bunch of trash. Left it better than we found it.

Great spot on a dead end road. Pebble beach, no trash. No traffic or noise, just a few fishermen.

I arrived at 4pm on Saturday and was surprised to find that I was the only one there. I drove back awhile, but eventually ended up at a campsite on the river near the entrance, across from the toilets. The sites seem fairly private. You're at the bottom of the canyon so there's minimal sun exposure. The toilets aren't bad, they definitely smell once inside, but not terrible and plenty of tp.
One other van arrived at dusk and went further back. Felt like I had the whole place to myself & the only sound all night was the river!

Excellent and peaceful spot, had a nice fire for sunset and star gazing. Only saw one van pass by all night for a spot further down the road.

The place was actually closed on that weekend but we contacted the host and where allowed to stay. Payed 150R for 2 Persons and our 4x4. Got the instructions for the water pump and heater for the showers via WhatsApp. Had a lovely stay! Great if you don’t want to visit Tsitsikamma via a day visit.

Our second visit here and
“twice the charm”! You get the feeling that you are inside the park with, undoubtedly, the best sunsets over the Luangwa River. We camped on stand 8 since 6 and 7 were already booked. All 4 riverfront stands (6-7) great but, in our opinion, no. 7 is the best as it is the largest and most shady. No. 9 is a bit small and cramped. We paid usd10 pppn (adults) and usd5 pppn (kids under 13). Pool and bar are close to camp which is a massive bonus, especially during the warm dry-season. Ablution blocks are not great, but this is not why we camp :-)

As described but Noisy road traffic for me and a truck pulled in at 3am parked near me. Gas is not cheap here. Very safe and would stay again if I needed to.

The Valley view lower down was occupied by Llamas, so we climbed up here. Worth it.

A small flat area at the dead end of a farmers track. Locals were happy we stayed here.

Good views of the farmed valley, far from the settlement.

Road in is slow, muddy with hairpins but all vehicles other than big rigs will be fine.

Camps are basically on the beach with great views from the first few sites. We spent 2 nights and had no issues. Just very open to the wind and no privacy between camps. R260 a night.

Gravel lot along the french broad river walk in the river arts district of Asheville. Was told by the owner of the bar across the street that people boondocks here for weeks on end. Safe area right on the river, walking distance to shops, bars, and food. Across the street from Cotton Mill studios

We didn't stop here, but we think it's important to leave the mark, because there are few options on this stretch of BR163. This is a Mirian gas station, which we already know and spend the night in other cities, and it is usually very good! Please, if anyone stops at this point, note the facilities. thanks!

Great camp spots along the floodlit waterhole which is overlooked by the bar at this beautiful lodge. There were not many animals at this time due to recent thunderstorms but we were visited by elephant and hyenas at night. Great to have access to the lovely pool and bar area. Nice ablutions.

This is a great dispersed camping area on the edge of Willow Creek Canyon. Grand views, lots of flat spots and very quiet. No shade, so winter is best. A few miles outside of Tecopa on Furnace Creek Road, you come to a large paved area on your right with power poles on the far side. Turn right on the dirt road that follows the poles. Trickle of Verizon service. Date farm nearby.

Got the “knock” last night from a cop, said park closes at sundown. I didn’t want to argue but said I didn’t see any shuck signs. He asked for my license (small truck camper) and returned a minute later snd said it was ok that I stay there. I did not argue! I got the feeling the place is a hookup spot for sex. There’s a sign that prohibits public “indecency.” I think that’s why he was there. Once I did not match the profile, whatever that is, he gave me the green light. But still. If you park there there is a risk of getting “the knock.”

Only accessible by 4x4!
Little hidden grassfield high up in the jungle.
The place has a slight inclination, but on top it is level with place for two cars.
We stayed overnight, the temperature was comfortable, and we haven’t seen a single person during all that time.
Nice bonus: you get a beautiful view over the Pacific.

Good overnight parking anywhere along Great Highway. Steps from the beach. Parked here late on a Friday night, lots of cars and RVs parked. Some traffic in the morning but it didn't wake us up. Definitely will stay here again after a late night in the city. Strong Verizon and ATT signal.
