Description

Spent a nice peaceful night here. It's a park with bathrooms, a playground, picnic tables, and a pavilion, in addition to being a boat ramp. There's some highway noise because of being close to rt. 17, but it's quieter at night, and just white noise. Many options/spaces to park. Please be conscious of boaters.
NOTE- Enter via the east side if 17. The west entry will try to take you under a bridge with only 10ft of clearance. as stated by others there are several stray cats that stay in the parking lot. I'm assuming they was dropped off as a liter since there are signs that say not to do so.

Latest Check-Ins

This location is labeled closed but it's open, I'm sitting in the parking lot now. It's very nice here. It's not only a public boat ramp but there is a little public park w/ pavilions, swing set for the kids, and bathrooms. The parking lot is level and there is some road noise from the local highway but I bet at night it's quiet, as other users have mentioned. I'm not spending the night but I don't see any signs restricting overnight parking.

Nice place, pretty quiet. Got the knock at 10:30 at night saying the park is closed after dark. Went back to Cracker Barrel.
*there is also electrical 20Amp plug, but it only puts out about 97 Volts... enough to charge the batteries, but I'm not sure about running equipment inside

Report Check-In

We were sleeping and policemen knocked at door at 3 am and asked to leave. They said there is a sign telling the park close at 9 pm

Didn’t stay the night - arrived to see a few sketchy looking people drinking down by the river who gave us the evil eye, pretty bad vibes.

Also the water spigot has been turned off.

Report Check-In

Bathrooms are closed and water spigot is dry.

Got the “knock” last night from a cop, said park closes at sundown. I didn’t want to argue but said I didn’t see any shuck signs. He asked for my license (small truck camper) and returned a minute later snd said it was ok that I stay there. I did not argue! I got the feeling the place is a hookup spot for sex. There’s a sign that prohibits public “indecency.” I think that’s why he was there. Once I did not match the profile, whatever that is, he gave me the green light. But still. If you park there there is a risk of getting “the knock.”

Spent a night here, it was fine. We got a knock on the van from a homeless? lady at like 9:30pm that looks like she hangs or loves in the park, but our barking dogs seemed to have gotten her to leave. Works alright in a pinch, and the bathroom is open til 8pm. Also a water spigot near the playground.

quiet during the night. I got here about 2 in the afternoon parked all the way in the back of the parking lot by the pavilion so that I would be out of the way. once it started to get dark I pulled up to the parking area by the pier. several people in and out through out the day but haven't heard or seen anyone since it got dark. you can hear the interstate noise. there is an electric outlet behind the bathrooms I did not check to see if it worked. I also was able to put my solar panel out during the day to get some solar. no one said anything to me.

As described! A great spot to spend the night. Humid + buggy, but nice to be on the water / not at a Crack Barrel The sunset over the water was nice & my cat got to play with the one of the strays
Would stay again!

Very quiet, we parked right next to the river. There was a lot of boater activity but by the time it got dark we didn’t hear a thing all night.

Report Check-In

Stayed one night, lot was empty except for one sedan. Bathrooms are closed at night. No issues. Had to enter on the side without the bridge. Nothing special but gets the job done and fairly quiet!

Great spot for a quick overnight boondock to split our drive up. rolled in at 12:30am not a single vehicle in site. We parked and we're up and out of there by 7am. Saw an officer in his patrol car parked there in the morning when we woke up but he never bothered us.

Report Check-In

Stayed for 1.5 days. Quiet, stray cats, would stay again

Report Check-In

Stayed here was very peaceful. A cop car came in and drove up to my van and then drove off, not sure what that was about but oh well. Woke up around 730 and left.
