This is a great dispersed camping area on the edge of Willow Creek Canyon. Grand views, lots of flat spots and very quiet. No shade, so winter is best. A few miles outside of Tecopa on Furnace Creek Road, you come to a large paved area on your right with power poles on the far side. Turn right on the dirt road that follows the poles. Trickle of Verizon service. Date farm nearby.

The dirt road in is called "Thelma and Louise Rd." by the locals, and there's even a small sign. When you get to the edge, you'll know why. It follows a telephone pole line in.
Report Check-InSuper easy access, don't need a 4WD. The canyon you look down into where the trees are is actually part of China Ranch.
