According to the crew of bikers hanging around, the best mechanic in town is Omran, 100m down the road from this point.
He works on sports bikes, he is very busy, and speaks a little English.

Stopped here last night but it did have a small ‘park closed sunset to sunrise’ sign by the path to the beach and I really didn’t feel like getting a knock on the door in the middle of the night and relocating so ultimately moved on

This place is great, stayed here a couple nights. Woke up to like 30+ trucks and boat trailers on Saturday morn but nobody gave me any issues
Nice and dark and quiet at night but a more well lit area available if you like

Camping area closed because of Covid crises, but the parking lot is open.

Solid location to spend the night. Super quiet. It's not exactly a parking lot, simply a turn around that can fit one or two cars next to this abandoned shed. Woke up and got some incredible sunrise photos of the agave fields, then did the hike to the waterfall (which requires a bit of trial and error to find, but is totally doable)! Great experience.

Arrived around 4pm knowing beforehand off season is first come, first serve. Family loop road was closed off, took a right to Loop 1 & Loop 2.

No bathrooms in Loop 1, but its a short walk to the flush toilets in Loop 2.

Showers & most bathrooms are closed in off season.

Only had one other person all the way over in Loop 2.

Acceptable place for a night in an area with not too many options.
You are right off the road so it gets noisy in the morning and there is a train that comes by as well.
At night it is much quieter and not too busy.
There was another concerted ambulance when we stayed and a car parked with them but still room for us an another smaller rig without being cramped.
Some big pot holes that were filled with water when we were here but plenty of basically flat areas to sleep evenly.
Nice being on the river as well and fairly dark because it’s removed from the town.
Would stay here again when passing through Montreal to enjoy the city without too much driving.
FYI before contingent here… we tried the rest area just outside the city and it only allows 60 minute parking.

baños super limpios, parrillas, electricidad y luz en parcela. con camper accedimos perfecto no creo q entren grandes motorhome. A la fecha, 500 por persona, sin extra por auto, carpa o motorhome. Nos anunciamos por whatsapp, no hay guardia fija en la administración, pero nos atendieron y vinieron enseguida al comunicarnos al whatsapp. Baños con ducha y calefaccionados.

Came without a car here and Border crossing is very smooth. Very friendly staff at zimbabwean side.

We travelled Zimbabwe by public transport & it totally amazed us.
People are as friendly & helpful as it gets, landscapes are beautiful and bulawayo can be counted as one of the nicest cities in africa. Also public transport is quite ok, bus companies operating are citylink, extracity, CAG.
Really recommend visiting real Zimbabwe (apart from vic falls which is just not how the reat of Zim is)

Be aware if you have pets with you. You will not allowed to enter! We drove all the gravel road to the entrance and were sent away. No chance to enter with our dog. Even if you confirm that the animal will only stay in the camper.

pasamos dos noches estacionados aquí, es fuera de temporada y aunque los días están soleados no hace mucho calor así que está todo muy tranquilo, vistas al mar y duermes oyendo el sonido de las olas, hay un parque infantil y bancos para sentarse, el ambiente es de gente local y muy tranquilo. buen sitio para parar en Chuy.

zona con parcelas con mesas, fogones, fregaderos, fuimos fuera de temporada y el acceso era libre y gratuito. el lugar no estaba muy acondicionado pero para pasar un par de noches está bien. muchísimos mosquitos, moscas y arañas! es normal ya que está todo en un bosque y por lo tanto hay insectos pero está al lado de la playa y tienes agua, baños (no entramos porque tenía pinta de estar bastante abandonados). el camping 2 de más adelante está parecido lo que pasa que hay que tener cuidado por donde te metes porque hay arena y puedes quedarte atascado y sin 4x4 no sales.

Quiet place to spend the night. It has a natural water tap in the corner of the field. Access is via an unpaved road. Next to the river and Puruba beach.

Lugar tranquilo para passar a noite. Possui uma torneira de água natural no canto do escanteio do campo. O acesso é por uma estrada de chão. Ao lado do rio e da praia Puruba.

Great quiet spot for the night. There are houses very close by, so it’s probably better to arrive after dark and stay stealthy. We arrived around 8pm and left at 11am without seeing anyone else or having any issues.

About 2 miles back. Road is washboard, but ok w 2wd. We have a 25 ft rv and went in and out several times. We stayed almost a week. Good T-Mobile service at this spot, but spotty in others nearby. Very convenient to Sedona and Cottonwood.

Very beautiful spot to camp for the night. Gravel bank you must drive along till you pick a spot, best for 4x4. You cross a low bridge onto the bank and can drive to the left or right. We stayed for one night in mid November.

Easy access for all types of rigs. We rolled up in the dark and appeared to be the only people on the road. We saw a lot of deer at night so keep your eyes peeled and go slow. Found a creek side site and had 1-2 bars of LTE on ATT. No amenities, so pack out all of your trash! FREE!!!

Asked the manager and they do allow overnight parking as long as you park away from the building and dont block delivery doors. usual noise from traffic. Great food! Buy a meal or more! please be respectful, places like this are so few and far between these days. it only takes one bad apple. Thanks family.

Large gravel pull off along side of a gravel road within Lake Mead Nat'l Park. There are 2 existing fire rings, and no signage indicating no overnight parking or camping. Road is accessible to larger campers/trailers. Relatively level. Good AT&T cell signal. No facilities.

Nice place to stay and reasonable prices - $10 per vehicle for established sites and $8 for "primitive" camping on the shore and you can fill up with potable water too :) We were the only ones here in the off season and it was very quiet and pleasant.

Multiple spots available a little further up on Juniper Flats Rd than previous post. These coordinates take you a little further off the road, so a bit more secluded, and great view. Lovely sunset! Great AT&T signal and one bar for Verizon. Our van is 24 feet long and fit easily. A bit bigger rigs can fit if you know how to maneuver them well.

A bit hard to find the water, it’s before you go by the vacuums on the right kind of hidden amongst the bushes. If you look directly across from the Carwash Entrance sign, you’ll find it.

We could not drive over the bridge because it was too narrow at the broken section for our truck, but we turned right. Lovely spot! If the water level is rising I think it is not accessable.

The bridges are very narrow for big rigs but in dry season you can drive through the river.

You can come here easyly with a Big Rig!

We came here because of some (bigger) chips on our windscreen. They could rescue our screen by repairing them. Rocky did a super fast and excellent job for a fair price. But they can also supply / organize windscreen for trucks for reasonable prices.

State campground with powered and unpowered sites, with picnic tables and fire pits. Toilets, dump station, etc. We went off season in November and only 4 sites were in use. The sites are close together, so in season would feel crowded, but for us it was great. Quiet, clean, safe. $6/night for non-electric site. Off season is walk in only, which works well for us.

A little better than the other sites in the valley. Has a few trees and close to visitor center.
