The new price for camping is $25, regardless of whether you use electricity or other services. The place is noisy and can be a little intimidating. The photos in the presentation are from there, but they do not completely reflect reality.

Small shop with basic supplies (bread, cold drinks, some rice etc.). They also served hot food (pap and meat) which we didn’t try though. A bar with cold beers next door.

Large area for several campers. Dirt road not too rough - 2wd van did fine. Turn off Hwy 82 onto Mule Canyon Rd. Stay left for Mule Canyon a mile or so in to reach the Forest Service boundary. Flat spaces are just after the FS sign. No cell service.
There is another large, flat camp area down the road, also on the left side if the first spot is occupied. It has enough space for a few campers. Although we were the only one here on a Saturday night.

We pre-booked the campsite as they indeed only allow one group (2 sites, one group in total) which makes perfect sense privacy wise. Contact was very easy and Dammann was very helpful. Really enjoyed the site with private ablutions, price was P150 p.p.p.n. which is very reasonable and might be considered cheap. Very nice bar and dining area, had dinner and really enjoyed that! The honesty bar was just perfect with nice stock. Did a Mokoro tour which was very lovely and Dammann and his family were able to drive us there which was just perfect and we were able to get to know them a bit, very very nice owners and a very nice site!

We arrived late in the evening after sunset as the food took longer than we thought at the restaurant close by that is also here on iOverlander. The old man immediately came out of his house when he saw our lights, we greeted him and asked if we can stay, he was very friendly and showed us how far we can drive to the cliff as there is a big concrete hole in the grass. He went to his house and didn’t come to us anymore. In the morning we said goodbye and gave him 2000

Nice lady who finished the laundry the same day. Unfortunately, I didn't get everything back that I dropped off. I went back immediately and asked for my clothes, but she didn't have them, even though I knew I had dropped them off. Not a good experience in the end.

Big lot opposite of Maple drive. Sign says parking permitted over night. It was quiet and dog friendly. It’s right at the start of the trails for the Dykelands. On the Main Street close to restaurants and grocery.

Nice RV park right on the river. Some cheaper sites are available, including dry sites for $10 in a nice grove of trees in the back. Fairly quiet, cleanish bathrooms and showers, dog park, kids’ playground, pool, and walking trail access. There are several little stands in Vidalia that sell boiled seafood. We went to C&W and it was very good and not too expensive.

It seems like there are at least 2 different parking lots here, one next to the other. We stayed in the first (not the bus station) and paid BOB. 4 per hour approximately.
There are also public bathrooms and showers.

Great food but beware of using a card if you don’t have an Argentinian bank account - they increased the bill by 28%!!! The only time we’d experienced such a high tax for using a card.

If you want to do this loop you will need a real 4x4 high clearance car. And not to big either.

It’s a beautiful loop so of off roading is something you like I can definitely recommend it, but not for low clearance 2wd cars or bg rigs.

Beautiful spot. Stayed one Saturday night and multiple spots still available. Rustic stone fire pits. Saw some sites with tables too. River at the end of the road. We had no problems with a 25 ft RV.

Zeze was very welcoming, but we didn't contact in advance.
We had the whole place for ourselves and decided to park in the "garage" building, because of some rain at night and this was the best flat spot we saw.
Toilet with toilet paper and cold shower.
Hot shower in another building 10Soles, potable water and electricity to charge phones etc. in the bathroom. Some Bitel signal depending on location.
Zeze organized a Taxi for us to get to the harbor for a Tour to the Uros. Contact Demetrio: +51 951 300 582 via Whatsapp or call.
Would recommend staying there, even if the road is in a bad shape, we did it in our VW T3 without 4x4, might be tricky to leave after rain without 4x4.

We went up with our 2WD 4ton campervan and managed just fine. Unfortunately, the road after the first Laguna looked too steep for a non 4x4 (not sure though), so we didn’t go there. And for rigs like us; don’t turn immediately left when seeing the greenish sign Balcón del Pissis, but take the turn a bit further at the edge of the Laguna, it’s way easier and less bumpy.

careful of coyotes and rattlesnakes. we had coyotes one of the three nights we were there (during bedtime) and our cat led us to a small rattlesnake at dusk one night. loved how safe and clean this spot was.
go in to check out the second, third or 4th spot to see what works best for you and your rig.

quiet little spot off the road. not far from the 401. it’s been raining a lot here and the ground is very, very soft. there are tracks that are clear people have gotten stuck here recently. if you’re in a heavy rig and the ground is soggy, park closest to the trees. by the road it gets mushier.

Nice hostel with clean rooms and shared bathroom. We paid 20$ per person, including breakfast and dinner. Food was good and not too less. When we arrived there was no electricity. But if there is, you can have a hot shower. The daughter speaks English very well. They also have a little shop where you can buy snacks and soda drinks, unfortunately no water.
