Ana is an excellent agent that helped us to ship our van RORO out of Cartagena to Veracruz. Ana works with many different shipping lines and can help with container shipping too (and probably flatrack too). Ana is very sweet and has really shown us that she cares about doing a good job and being helpful. She seems to be glued to her phone, and really quick to respond, especially via WhatsApp. So, if you’re tired of waiting days for responses from other agents try contacting Ana.
The point provided is her office, but best to contact her via WhatsApp. There is street parking in front of the office.
We highly recommend Ana, but one thing you should consider is that Ana does not speak any English. My wife and I speak some Spanish and were able to get by using a lot a Google Translate. If you know some Spanish it’s best to message in Spanish. If your Spanish is bad (like ours) I would recommend doing some research on your own so that you know the process. Otherwise, Ana will take care of you, but you might be in the dark about a lot of the steps.
Ana is pretty well known, especially among the Latin overlanders and motorcyclists. While we were in Cartagena she invited us to a wonderful meal at her home along with about 10 other overlanders who she was currently working with. Most were motorcyclists from Argentina.

Report Check-InWe shipped our van from Bremerhaven to Cartagena. Ana helped us to get our van out of the port and also to get the insurance and the tip. Her and her family are very friendly. The communication was great and fast over whatsapp. They don't speak english very well. But we speak a little spanish and with the help of google translate or deepl, everything worked out great. The whole process of getting the van took us 2 days, where a lot of waiting is involved, and most of the time we didn't know exactly what the next step would be. But we think that's just the way it works here, slow and a lot of different places you need to go to sign something. We recommend working with Ana and would do it again.

Report Check-InWe shipped from Colon to Cartagena. Ana helped us to get the car in Cartagena. We were worried before the port appointement because the contact via whats app was not satisfing, because ana never told us what the whole process is, like step 1, step 2 etc. We just send her all the information she asked for and had no clue about the actual process (or costs?). But once we were at the port everything worked just fine. German a worker of Ana awaitet and guided us through the whole process (including TIP and SOAT insurance). We basically had to do nothing just following him. Normally the process to get your car is around two days. In the end we would do it with Ana again, but go to her in person.

From way before our shipping date, she always replied to our communications. She obtained many different options for our RORO to Veracruz. Nothing was a problem. On the day we were to deliver the vehicle to the port we had a mechanical issue and Ana instantly changed the arrangement to allow us time to resolve the matter. Nothing was too much trouble. She is very conscientious, Very experienced, professional and a pleasure to work with. She will guide you through the process, prepare all the documents, make all the appointments and arrangements and remain with you throughout the whole process. Report Check-InShe helped me with a big problem in the port. During the Coronavirus Outbreak, I had to ship my car from Buenos Aires, Argentina to Cartagena. I'm Colombian and my car too. I didn't have a paper that I should have to return to Colombia, so my car got stuck in the port for over a month while I solve the problem with Aduana (Customs). She took the case and after some days we could solve the problem.

Ana a effectué une prestation parfaite en nous permettant de rapatrier notre camping-car jusqu'en France. Sa prestation était complète. Ana est venue chercher notre véhicule qui se trouvait dans une finca dans le sud de la Colombie, elle a ensuite géré l'intégralité des papiers et autres contrôles au port et elle a mis notre véhicule sur la bateau (en gérant au passage le contrôle narco).

Report Check-InWe contacted the 'usual suspects' for our shipment from Cartagena to Veracuz, Mexico by E-MAIL. Remarkably few responded. (We're getting old while refusing to use ICQ, AIM, Yahoo!, MSN, Messenger, WhatsApp or whatever is fashionable today.) Our question was: "can you ship our vehicle (with measurements and weight) and what does it cost?" Only one responded with an answer to most of the implied questions ("what is the sailing schedule and what is the transit time", "does the price include agents on both sides", "what about theft / insurance", "how many days in advance should I make the vehicle available", "how will we pay (cash / credit / other) and in what currency will we pay (and what's the exchange rate)", "where do we get our Bill of Lading (if needed)").
Ana responded with (just) a price. So, we asked the next question, and the next, and so on. Sometimes she responded immediately, on other occasions it took days. Judging from her communication style, I think she's more used to WhatsApp than e-mail. Eventually, early December, I had a short telephone conversation (in my broken Spanish) and I decided to ship with Ana, around Christmas time. We agreed to be in her office on the 20th - a week before the (estimated) departure of the boat.
Once in the office, we knew we had chosen the right agent. A prepared folder, with copies of documents I emailed, was ready on her desk, including an acknowledgement of reservation from the shipping line. (She trustingly made that reservation on the basis of e-mails - please do not betray her.) Oh - and we found out why communication during the last weeks was intermittend: they had just moved into this office. No internet, no telephone (and no aircon) yet.
Ana didn't like he pictures I took of my DIAN form and immigration stamps - they were photocopied anew. The paperwork (the 'order' itself, a power of attorney, other papers to authorize inspections and more papers requesting admittance to the harbor) were quickly printed for signing. Payment was flexible: part in cash, the rest (+5%) on a credit card, against an interbank mid-course USD->COP rate.
Ana (actually: Cortes Rodriguez Asesores, a company with about 3 more employees) quoted USD 270 for her (their) services. From past experiences, I came to think of agents as thieves. Not so here: we were picked up from our hotel, driven to the harbor (quite a bit outside the city), twice, while one of the employees (Juan-Pablo) waited patiently for hours (in the heat). And they prepared all of the paperwork, provided a helmet and a vest (required in the harbor), supplied the sealing stickers for car doors, paid road tolls. And they paid for the issuing of the Bill of Lading in Mexico (which I did not expect: another USD 50 saved). Ana mailed me at 22:30 to help remind me she would pick me up at 7:00 the next morning. I think they really delivered value for money with their service.
In short: This is a well organized, instant messaging preferring, service oriented operation (run by heart warming people).
We paid about USD 1400 for the RoRo shipment from Cartagena to Veracruz, Mexico (Land Cruiser 100, 5x2x2,4 meters, 4000 kgs), NOT including charges (or an agent) at the Mexican side. YMMV.

I didn’t have much luck with her. She moved me from one container to the next (because she makes more money with cars than a single motorcycle). The whole process took a month and four visits to her office.

Caring! example; we all awaited 4 hrs for the DIAN inspector to return with paperwork Ana bought us all a meal in the port cafe even though it was not her fault) and able to problem solve along the way and value for money at180$ in an expensive part of the trip

We speek Spanish and therefore it was very easy communicating by whatsapp or phone with her although the Colombian dialect is not as easy as for example the Argentinian dialect .
Ana helped us immensely when shipping our car to Houston. She is a great person and very concerned that everything works out well. We only contacted her about ten days before our shipping date, because other agents were not answering us. She got onto it immediately and had everything prepared for us to ship on the date. She spent a whole day on the phone trying to find an agent for us in Houston for the immigration process, and succeeded through one of her many contacts. She also always followed up, making sure people were doing what they wanted her to do. We highly recommend her. Please note that she only speeks Spanish.

Ana works with many different shipping lines and can help with container shipping too (and probably flatrack too). Ana is very sweet and has really shown us that she cares about doing a good job and being helpful. She seems to be glued to her phone, and really quick to respond, especially via WhatsApp. So, if you’re tired of waiting days for responses from other agents try contacting Ana.

We highly recommend Ana, but one thing you should consider is that Ana does not speak any English. My wife and I speak some Spanish and were able to get by using a lot a Google Translate. If you know some Spanish it’s best to message in Spanish. If your Spanish is bad (like ours) I would recommend doing some research on your own so that you know the process. Otherwise, Ana will take care of you, but you might be in the dark about a lot of the steps.
Ana is pretty well known, especially among the Latin overlanders and motorcyclists. While we were in Cartagena she invited us to a wonderful meal at her home along with about 10 other overlanders who she was currently working with. Most were motorcyclists from Argentina.
