Spectacular, friendly and cordial welcome from all the inhabitants of the municipality, quiet, safe, clean, one minute from the city center, bakery, gas station, barbecues, pharmacy, restaurant, cafes, cocktail bars, castle, monuments, many activities, everything you can try to be with your family.

We walked there to see if we can stay there with our camper. It is run down, the pool is dry and dirty. The parking where we ought to stay with our camper is small and not even worth to check. No money worth TK go there. We left this place, there aee definitely better places to go.

Public bathrooms near the beach. Nice parking lot next to them you can park for 2 hours. Few restaurants around. There is no soap here just a flushable toilet and sink with water and and air blower to dry hands.

Super nice place, maneged by Victor and his family right in front of the beach (you can see the waves from bed!). They have kitchen, good bathroom and shower and cosy common areas. The accomodation’s places are much cheaper than the rest of offers in the area. Furthermore they have a lot of boards to rent for a good price and they can also arange surf classes.

All season campground. Right by the river and close to town. The staff were very friendly. Service and unserviced sites are available. Coin-operated hot showers. You can hear some road noise. Good spot for a night and would come again

*Overnight camping/parking is NOT available at this location.
.....
This place was listed before. I stayed here last summer and got the evil eye from locals in the morning, because all the campers were hogging the parking lot, leaving no room for locals. The city then added signs last fall forbidding camping and other things, then the spot was removed by iOverlander.
Someone removed the original sign posted and the spot was re-added to iOverlander, but the city has added a new sign. There is no camping allowed here.

quiet place, beautiful view, 5000 pesos per person + 1000 pesos to use the socket was paid. I had a car and a trailer. The power went out twice, I changed the socket and we didn't have any more problems. In the morning there was no power, I went down to check and the dogs in the parking lot had bitten through my socket.

Talking to other people at the campsite, I discovered that they charged me a higher price. I went to talk to the owner of the campsite and he gave me the difference back. stay tuned

As mentioned, it is not a RV park, but a big parking lot. You have to contribute with 200 pesos in cleaning supplies (they won’t accept cash, you have to bring the products) per car (is not per day! We stayed for 2 nights). The guy who received us was very friendly. Police is here 24h, I think is because the parking lot is very close by a big soccer stadium. Felt safe. We went for a run in the park where the parking lot is and had no problems. We didn’t use, but the guy how works here said that there is water, electricity and restrooms. Considering is a city, I do recommend the place. Is not great, but is good enough!

This is one of the few designated dispersed camping spots on 525. Lots of space but lots of campers as well. Don’t expect to have a big area to yourself, but do expect amazing views.

Pack it in, pack it out. Leave this place better than you found it, please.

Definitely one of our favorite spots to camp in Ecuador so far! Patricia and Luis are very gracious hosts and give you a full tour upon your arrival. Luis also was very kind as he offered to guide us on a hike of their property that has 2 waterfalls and so many fresh fruit trees that we lost count! Luis’s sister also has an amazing restaurant in town that we ate lunch at! It was super quiet while we were there and had the whole place to ourselves! Highly highly recommend this place and we can’t wait to return!!

Large market with heaps of tourist stalls. We felt prices were substantially higher than other markets despite negotiation. The actual shops around the parameter sold items for cheaper than the stalls.

bad thing its the long way to the bathroom, little space for tents, many many people doing long stay. anyway, great place for some chill days

This is a neighborhood park, quiet and safe. We stayed here for a week without any problem. There is free government wi-fi that works fine and a power outlet. There is also a bathroom (not so clean) and water tap on the side wall. Stores and gas station in town. Good Tigo reception. Free
