Something not right?

Description

The place is small and homey, run by a very lovely and friendly local family.
You can pitch your tent for 100 pula pppn or sleep in the safari tents (starting at 250 pula pppn).
There is a campground for 4 to 5 tents to camp comfortably. Braai, picnic tables right next to the river. There is a parking lot with shade, good for 2 to 3 big rigs. Free wifi, Hot shower, clean toilet and self-catering kitchen.
It's not far from the town and I personally prefer this location and vibe better than Old Bridge Backpacker.

We walked there to see if we can stay there with our camper. It is run down, the pool is dry and dirty. The parking where we ought to stay with our camper is small and not even worth to check. No money worth TK go there. We left this place, there aee definitely better places to go.

Report Check-In

200 pula to sleep in one of the pre-set tents (incl. private toilet and shower). The place is run down and dirty, but probably as cheap as it can get in Maun. Owner Shei is super friendly. Parking possible. Wifi works well.

Report Check-In

This place is open even though it is a bit run down but the owner Shei is very friendly. He charges 100 pula pppn which is the cheaper we could find in Maun. It’s also nicely located on the river and 2km away from spar and coffee shops.

Motsebe is open to anyone who either wants to stay for one or more nights. Ample parking for big rigs smaller trucks or campers and tents.

this nice place is open! And they work hard to clean and welcome overlanders and backpackers. Owner Shei is very helpful. +26775468640

As described still no working shower but there is bucket showers and they asked if I wanted water boiled for a hot bucket but cold is fine with me.
Have use of kitchen and fridge which is nice and you can sit in lounge if you like.
They put a fire on which is nice.
I wanted to pictch my tent which is 100p but the lady offered me a Bodley bed in a big lodge tent for 150p which I took.
Still no water in the pool but that doesn’t bother me in the slightest.
Nice peaceful place 2 km from shops.
Very lovely friendly family run and they could use some business.
Allowed me to put bicycle in tent.

Came here to have a look before moving onto Maun Rest Camp. This campsite is a little dilapidated, no water in the pool and can't gaurantee a hot shower, mainly due to not having running water which seems to be a problem in the area. They did respond to an online booking inquiry though, so the heart is there! Maun Restcamp it was for us.

Report Check-In

As described. Lovely and not busy place. You can use the fridge, the kitchen and the braai. There was a problem with water when we came so they heat the water with a big chaudron in a fire to have shower. We stay several nights and negotiate the price at 80pppn.
