I went to a doctor for the eyes here. Very friendly and helpful. The doctor speaks English and she recommended a doctor in Guatemala City for possible further treatment.

We stayed 1 nigth here with a campervan. We were alone Peacefull site, nice views. The Beach is full of rocks and is not confortable for enjoy the sea.

Attention I didnt sleep here so I cant guarantee how it is during the night. But if I would arrive later in the day here I would definitely sleep here. There is a huge gravel area where you can find good hidden spots. Its right behind a big mining operation. But not really noisy when I was here. Great place for a picnic or to sleep. Good Airtel LTE

Nice little spot! The view is beautiful and it’s fun to watch the ferries. Also a really popular spot for walking/running/biking/rollerblading, so definitely expect people walking by your rig. Felt super safe here as a solo lady. A cafe within walking distance and lots of little restaurants. Good service too (enough to hotspot Netflix on my laptop). But the cars going by are definitely kind of loud, and although it dies down at night, they still go by (not at the recommended 25 mph, more like 40), so expect your rig to shake. I would stay here again for sure.

Passamos a noite aqui, o posto não é 24h, mas estava cheio de caminhoneiros, e foi bem tranquilo.

Really nice, clean cold showers. 2000k is the price on the wall, but I asked the lady and she said it was free. Really convenient if you’ve been wild camping!

Here you can book ferries from Belem to Manhaus. We walked in and spoke to Marcilenos. He phoned around for a few ferries. He speaks good English.

Basically a dirt road by the lake. At the end of the road is a grassy area. Locals use the area to store small boats. We chatted to some, very friendly. Beautiful views over the lake, just outside the town, noise from road and a fair few mosquitoes! Great spot for a tent for cyclists

There is room for a single vehicle to get level and park at the end of the road along the walking trail to Las Gachas. We asked the small tienda and the closest house if it was ok to park there and they said it was ok. We spent two nights here. We are in a truck camper and it was pretty tight to turn around, so would not recommend anything larger.

Rob is very nice guy. As already said, he supports Unimog and Mercedes trucks or Sprinter. He offers care storage too.

Stopped here because the road ahead looked challenging. Nice spot with great views. Peaceful at night. Even had enough Verizon to stream.

It's a nice campground, but more expensive than average. The advantage is it doesn't get crowded in high season, like now. I paid 4000 pesos (12.5 US$ dollar blue exchange rate) for a place to put up my tent (I travel by motorcycle). The down side is all tenting space is dirt, not grass.ots of dust, but a lot of shade.
They have different prices, according to the amenities: electricity, picnic table.
Bathrooms were clean, hot water. There are hiking trails, and an easy walk to "beaches" by the emerald lake nearby. They sell beverages and meaks, but it's very expensive. Bring whatever you can. Potable water.

Ruins of an ancient city, now called Nippur or Nibur. Need permit to come in theory, I got in by being friendly. One of the guards, Hussain, speaks decent English. I'm sure you could camp here at the guard house or stay at one of the guards' houses if needed.

They no longer allow camping. They said that the used to but not any more.

If your coming up to the petrified falls and plan on staying a night, stay at this place if you want peace and beauty.

Quiet little place with pools of their own, not hot but if the weather is right you won’t beat it.

Easy to find but 1-2km of a slow drive down a dirt road. We got our full size sprinter down here, non issue. No 4x4 needed

25pp to use pools and another 50pp each to camp the night. Friend in tent in some heavy winds so our great super friendly host Socharo, suggested it gets pitched in a little shelter on site for wind block.

We also have three dogs, they got a little excited by the dogs, goats, donkeys and bulls but it is all good

It's a cute little campground with some trails that lead down to the creek. Day use area has restrooms and porta potties along with trash cans and water spigot. There is a dump station at this location as well near the campground entrance.

spend the night here on the south side. truck engines of course, but no hassles and lightning wasn't too bright.
